Sage has a really cool atmosphere idea and they really went all out for Halloween. I had the chicken Vesuvio and it was delicious! I was the only person in the restaurant at the moment and I ordered to go. The staff went to the back for most of my time inside and after about 12 minutes finally asked if I wanted a water as I wait. I’m not from the area so as benefit of the doubt the atmosphere and the food was delicious will recommend for those reasons.

Very cute location, although it’s pretty small so the tables are packed in. Make sure you have a reservation for a busy night. Service was wonderful and the food was great. I loved my chicken marsala and the cannoli. The arancini was a bit disappointing, but overall everything was really good!

When we walked in the door we were met with
the most wonderful smells from the kitchen and biggest smiles from the staff. We had a large group and our main server, Doug, was the best! Our food was brought out just as we we’re finished each course, the timing was impeccable. Now, the food…words can’t express how delicious every thing was! I was extremely impressed with the bounty of flavors of the unique, yet traditional, delectable dishes. The courses were plated beautifully, every bite was heaven! Kudos to the Chef! Very impressed with this quaint, friendly, small town restaurant, with the quality you’d expect from a five star place in the city! We’ll definitely be back for more! I want to try the short rib ravioli on the next visit!

The food was very good. The process were a bit high for what we ordered, but not exorbitant. We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves because everyone else wanted to be seated outside for probably one of the last “summer” evenings left in early fall. Our hostess and waitress were very nice and took prompt care of us throughout our dining experience. It was a wonderful date night!

We had a large group at Sage…. I would like to say the food was amazing, however…. amazing does cover it! The thought that went into each dish was spectacular. Well done Chef!

What a gem Sage is. It is obvious that the chef takes pride in each dish prepared. You can taste the time and thought that went into the creation of each plate.
We went to Sage with a party of 15 so we had the pleasure of tasting multiple items. The flavors of each were so amazing.
The wait staff was very friendly and the timing of each dish was perfectly spaced.
Great find. Even the cappuccino was delicious. Definitely going back.

We went to a downtown Valpo holly day walk and made the mistake of not making reservations anywhere. We stopped in at Sage and they accomadated us in 15 minutes. They were full but made room for us. All that said the food was Amazing! This is a classy casual place with authentic Italian cuisine. I ordered the beef braised ravioli with mushrooms which was so delicious. My husband got the pork tenderloins which he said were cooked to perfection. Our server Katie was kind, courteous and very attentive. She made our first time here wonderful! We will be back again to try the rest of the menu.

An odd thing happened when I visited this restaurant for a casual date night. I was genuinely surprised by the excellent service. The waiter was extremely informative and attentive, giving well informed recommendations for menu items, and seeming to be at the table at a moment’s notice whenever drinks were low or just to check on us. He was wonderful.. If you can ask for Douglas 🙂 the food was delicious and delivered in a timely fashion. We even got a mini crash course in Italian pronunciation to better order in the future. 11/10 coming back as soon as I can.

Moved to Crown Point 2 months ago from West Lafayette IN and I believe the Sage Burger is best I have ever had. Last week had the short rib ravioli. Another 5 star meal. This place has great cocktails, food that is amazing and the staff is awesome. I will be coming here often. Thank you Sage!
