The food wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t on par with the price. That said, this is a restaurant in one of the most remote places in the state, so I won’t it’s halfway to be expected.

We all had burgers and salads, which were all quite good. The waiter was extremely friendly and service was excellent.

The atmosphere in the lodge is wonderful as well. If the prices for a little lower, I probably would have given it 5 stars. We visit Crater Lake frequently. This was the first time we ate at the lodge, and my family had fun doing so. Both my wife and my son said they would like to go back (so we’ll probably be back next visit)

The dinning room is very weirdly managed. Walk-in people at 5PM were told to wait for 3 hours while the dining room was empty because people who had reservations did not show up even after 15-30mins. Had to order food from the Bar menu next to dinning room. The lady working at the bar was super efficient and active. We had mushroom bruschetta and salad, both were delicious.

Unexpectedly amazing dinner in a National Park Lodge at the edge of Crater Lake.
For our appetizer we enjoyed the Mushroom Brushetta (woodland mushrooms, roma, shallot, shaved parmesan, balsamic glaze)…loved the forest theme for this delicious dish. The bread was perfectly crispy.
For dinner my husband ordered bison meatloaf, which he greatly enjoyed. I thoroughly enjoyed the ribeye. Happily I took the leftovers with me (massive ribeye) which made terrific eats in the Redwoods the next day, where we found few restaurants. No one down south had food as great as this!

The beautiful view and atmosphere really set the stage a wonderful experience. I spent hours in the rocking chairs on the terrace overlooking one of the most beautiful lakes I’ve been to. The staff is super friendly the food and drinks are pretty good. There are still many feet of snow along the road and in the grass areas. Many areas were still closed to motor vehicles due to the snow. Walking was allowed. My advice parking is CRAZY. Don’t panic. Keep driving until you reach the lodge. I’ve always found lots of parking down there, and there is a lot more space. The food and drinks are expensive, but that is to be expected. I spent hours in the rocking chairs on the terrace overlooking the lake. It was such an awesome day. If you are earlier in the day, the sun shines down on the terrace. Later in the day, the terrace is shady and a bit chilly. Bring a sweatshirt. If you get a chance, make sure you stop at Crater Lake. You will not regret it.

Waiters were fantastic and friendly. Food was the opposite. Would expect the food to follow the experience and cost.

We had dinner and then tried breakfast. Biscuits and gravy were super salty. French toast was good. Dinner salad was subpar and the ribeye was ok.

The area is beautiful and lodge itself is amazing.

A bit delayed review from our multi-day stay here July 2024. I’m selective about food and appreciated the taste, freshness and overall quality of the many meals we ate (4 dinners, 5 breakfasts, a few lunches) here. Hosts and servers were attentive and very FRIENDLY (would give them 5 starts), but 1 incident where we waited for over an hour past our dinner reservations (we heard it was due to a large group reservation error.) Atmosphere charming and beautiful views. Grateful for our experience.

The check in person was acting very weird. Was told to wait 30 mins even though the tables were available. The server again very rude and fair to say mannerless. Food not that great with cold fries.

I’d highly recommend to get your own food if coming to Crater national park and try as much to not eat here.

Based on the other reviews, I was nervous about the food, but the salmon and meat was very good .

However, it’s very hard to look at a half empty room and understand why they will not sit you even 10 minutes early.

I can only assume it’s to not slam the kitchen, but then they should explain that. I watched 4 empty tables for 45 minutes while still being told repeatedly they could not sit me early.
Very frustrating

The staff that covers the tables, however, are very kind and nice – food comes out fairly quickly. I felt the prices overall were fair and only the meat dishes were on the expensive side.

Cozy and quaint dinning room. Reservations for dinner are required!!!
Very limited menu – they serve wine beer and cocktails ($15 a piece).
They promptly sat us for our reserved time, it took a while for our server to come to our table once we were seated, but after that she was good.
We ordered two steak dinners. The steak was cooked perfectly, but very mediocre taste, as well as the side dishes. Definitely not worth the $42. We had cheesecake for dessert, and it was good, but again not worth $12 a slice.
Unfortunately they can charge these prices because the location, and being the only restaurant there.
I would not choose to dine here again.

We put our name in for lunch and were told we could wait outside with a drink and they would come get us. After waiting an hour I went in and checked on our table and they said they called for us but couldn’t find us. We were ten feet from the door so I have a feeling there may have been a language barrier as many of their staff are from overseas. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed at this point so we had to wait another thirty minutes and could only order from a limited menu. Our server was a young gentleman from South Carolina and he was amazing; he had to deal with a lot of impatient people that day but he still had a positive and friendly demeanor. The wings we ordered were pretty good but we probably wouldn’t get the charcuterie board again. We ate outside and were able to enjoy a stunning view of the lake but we did miss out on a hike as we were there for over three hours.
