Drove out for the tater kegs and was not disappointed. They’re like large sized loaded tater tots. Quaint restaurant with classic southern barbeque fare, fried pies, and Hunts pizza. Really friendly folks, family ran. Prices were reasonable and good portions. Lots of seating inside and out.
Lots of menu items were unavailable when we came out. It was the day before delivery day so I didn’t get to try the chicken and you have to call ahead for ribs. Barbeque was good, slaw had a nice zing, onion rings were great. Carrot cake was good. Would definitely drop in the next time I’m in the area.

Absolutely one of the best burgers in North Alabama and southern Tennessee. My last visit there were only two people working. It took about 40 minutes to get my bacon double cheeseburger with approximately 12 other orders ahead of mine. It came out hot,fresh and tasty! Worth that wait!!

Loved the little restaurant in town for a basketball game and first place we found in the middle of nowhere. So thankful we did there were 3 wonderful women working so hard to feed everyone ther. We got food for 5 and it was under $40 , the food was fresh and hot and tasted great. Wish I didn’t live 3 hours away. By the way had some homemade fried apple and peach pies that tasted like my grandmother s bought 5 home with me. If you live near your lucky make sure to tip them good!!

Said my order would take 20 minutes. It took 50. I went in to pay to try and speed things up and was ignored. Finally got her attention and was told she’d be right back. 5 minutes later I went back outside.
Food was totally cold. No way it was just finished. I asked for extra tomato and onion and I got NONE. When I called to complain she said I could bring it back. I don’t drive after dark and was told I as long as I brought the burger back I could get a refund tomorrow! My burger was in pieces.
Also we were asked to leave the window so the owner could get to it!!
Only apology we got was from employee who did nothing but bring out our food as she had just come to work.

First time visit. We love off the beaten path restaurants, and this one did not disappoint. The staff was so nice. The food was delicious. We had the smoked chicken plate, the chicken tenders plate (was on special today), and the ribeye sandwich. All were delicious. Warning, the sweet tea is southern sweet tea! If ya want half sweet/half unsweet, you may want to go 20%/80% or even 10%/90%!!! Lol Lots of dessert choices. I chose the Blueberry Delight. Yummy! Just like my mama used to make! My husband chose a single scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream in a cone, and our son chose a muffin. The seating areas are all clean, unique, and lovely. We chose to sit outside under the covered patio. We could hear a rooster crowing in the distance. Quite charming. Definitely a place we want to visit again!

This is a great little diner/store in Taft, Tennessee. My wife and I had their double cheeseburgers and they were cooked and prepared to perfection. You owe it to yourself to get out and explore all the natural beauty and fine folks in this community.

The Burger Man with Best Burgers in America Association, and I was invited to come and score their burger at Old Taft Depot, and it was worth the travel to get there. Fresh hand-patted out burger, never frozen, the toppings were fresh and blended very well. The tomato on the burger was fresh home grown, and very delicious. I would recommend this restaurant. Great food, great Service.

Excellent food! Had the Hamburger Steak, a Cheeseburger and Chicken Fingers for the grandkids. Delicious! I knew it would be good when I saw all the trucks driving up, men getting out, and large bags of food leaving.

I’ve ordered food from here on multiple occasions and there has been times it was good but there has been more bad. Changing the oil in the greese more often would be great. I won’t be ordering here again because it’s a 50/50 chance it will be horrible because the oil there food gets fried in or it will be good. Won’t waist any more money here trying to find out. ETA: Not only did the food take more than twice what we were told it would, not only did they ignore us when we went in to pay to try to speed it up the process while we waited, when our order was finally ready, instead of finishing up with us, they made us move out of the way so they could wait on the owner. And was the food hot and fresh? NO. Was our order correct? NO. Did we get any kind of acknowledgement or apology from anyone except the one employee who was not even involved? NO.
Previous review: The burgers never disappoint and the bacon is usually crispy. Onion rings are really good, so is the BBQ and the Philly Steak. For made to order, it doesn’t take long either. I’ve had really nice servers consistently for the last 6 months or so too.
