The house-made steak and ale pie is a quiet standout, wrapped in pastry that is delicately flaky yet structurally sound, never soggy. Its filling is deeply savory, rich without excess, and thoughtfully balanced. A freshly prepared vegetable barley soup followed—wholesome, restrained, and clearly made with care.
The burgers arrive generously proportioned; while the seasoning is understated, the quality of the accompaniments elevates the dish. A vibrant heirloom tomato and impeccably executed hand-cut fries—crisp, golden, and clean in finish—leave a lasting impression.
Beyond the plates, the shop offers a curated selection of locally sourced meats, reinforcing a commitment to provenance. The space itself is warm and inviting, complemented by staff whose attentiveness is both genuine and refined. A quietly confident establishment rooted in craft and care.

Stopped in on a whim, and so very happy we did. The provender is a gem of a café in Everett, Pennsylvania. Visitors will be delighted to find some items not common to the rest of the area. Quiche, scones, pasties, and a full menu are available along with robust drink options for Coffee lovers. The staff was delightful and the atmosphere was well crafted. A thoroughly enjoyable experience!

Sweet little family-owned hole in the wall cafe. Definitely serves more like a small business (limited menu/times/etc), but has really high quality ingredients. Coffee is good, and the bacon was the best I’ve ever had! The family that owns the place raises the pigs themselves and supports other homesteaders/farmers in the local area. Simple, rustic vibe inside, with some good products that you can take to go.

Tried quiche, french toast, steak eggs Benedict, lattes. All were great! Also just have to add kudos for the ladies room. Such a gem

This place is such a gem! It has that warm, hometown atmosphere with vintage-style pictures on the walls that make you feel right at home. The food, however, is high-end and absolutely fresh. We had the mushroom soup (hands down the best I’ve ever had), plus the specials of the day — a tuna melt and a salmon salad. Both were unique, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. To top it all off, we shared a slice of carrot cake, and you could truly taste the love that went into it. Everything was excellent from start to finish. We will definitely be back!

This was as good as other reviewers have posted. Great atmosphere. We had a lavender berry scone that was excellent. My croissant breakfast sandwich was very good. My spouse’s chicken and mushroom quiche was a little undercooked but otherwise good.

If I could give this place six stars, I absolutely would. The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and filled with organic ingredients sourced from local farms. The atmosphere was immaculate, too, complete with a great playlist (think Mac DeMarco, Wallows, and more).
But the best part? The people. Everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely wonderful to be around.
We were traveling along the PA Turnpike, and this café was more than worth the detour. A true small-town gem.

I’ll start out by saying I was super pumped to finally try this resteraunt and ended up leaving super disappointed. I ordered the special, Matty melt smash burger and it was supposed to come with sweet potato fries. a children’s Mac n cheese which was cold, and 1 latte. 34 dollars! Which if the food is fresh and good cool but that wasn’t the case. We waited for atleast 30 mins for our food and when it came I noticed I didnt get the sweet potato fries but it was ok accidents happen I ate the fresh cut that came with it. Once I took a bite of my burger I quickly realized my whole order was wrong. I took my burger up to the counter and politely said hey I think my order was wrong I ordered the smash burger, she says that is the smash burger (clearly wasnt) I Pointed out that the smash burger comes with Swiss, caramelized onion and mine had cheddar and bacon…. mind you there is only 2 burger options butcher burger (which comes with bacon and cheddar, and the smash burger.) She did offer to remake it after telling me what i had was the the smash burger, but I just went and sat down. I seen them clear plates of other patrons while we ate, they would always ask how was your food. I waited for our waitress to come around for the burger I didnt eat and the rest of our plates but without any doubt the waitress completely avoided our table for atleast 20 mins after we were finished till we left. I doubt I’ll ever go back, such a shame seemed like it would of been a nice place.

This is a super cute, comfortable little coffee shop/ restaurant. Love the atmosphere and the organic/ natural selection of food in the coolers. The food was good but not outstanding, but we’ll still be back.

This should be a destination!
We were traveling through PA and I came across BVP on a Google search for food near me. The food was fresh and delicious, service excellent. We got the S’more coffee, So Good! I signed up for their text updates to see what I’ll be missing.
It just might be worth the 2.5 hour drive from home to have lunch!
