Abrazo is an absolute gem.

From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. Every interaction felt intentional, and the staff made the entire evening feel special and unrushed.

The food was outstanding across the board. Each dish was beautifully plated and packed with bold, well-balanced flavors. From the small plates to the mains, everything tasted fresh, elevated, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the ingredients and the execution—truly the kind of meal where every course impresses.

The ambiance deserves its own mention. The lighting was warm and romantic, the space elegant yet cozy, and the overall vibe was intimate and inviting. It’s the perfect setting for a date night, celebration, or a relaxed but refined dinner with friends.

Amazing service, delicious food, and a beautiful atmosphere—Abrazo delivers on every level. Can’t wait to come back.

the roasted chicken is cooked to perfection and the vanilla ice cream with olive oil & salt is a taste of europe in SF.

One the best Spanish tapas places in town. It is on the pricy side but totally worth it. We always go and load up on the appetizers because they are so good. The atmosphere and the ambience is also very cozy and family owned restaurant. The owner always goes to the guests and makes sure they are enjoying their food/wine. Parking is a bit tricky since there are many restaurants around. Overall great experience.

What an INCREDIBLE way to spend our anniversary! My husband and I went to celebrate and we had the best meal and experience. Maggie was superb at offering recommendations. We ended up getting the oysters, octopus, bone marrow and the paella. Highly recommend ALL of them. Everything was beyond delicious!! We even had a surprise glass of bubbles which was delicious. Michael has a great restaurant here and we’ll definitely be back!

We had a reservation mishap at Amarena and found ourselves with a group of 13 desperately looking for amazing Italian before our 7:30 play at the Orpheum.

Luckily a friend found Abrazo and they were able to accommodate us.

The staff were incredible, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect (two families had visited Italy last year).

The bread, fresh and stuffed with olives, was delicious. The pork chops, perfectly cooked, were devoured. The legs of lamb, full of flavor and tenderness, were demolished.

We will absolutely return.

Michael saved our night, and we couldn’t be happier. We had a reservation for 13 around the corner, only to arrive and find the place was closed for the holidays (Dec 27). quick scrambling found Abrazzo about to open and Michael was super accommodating and took us, complete with basically a private table for 13 on zero notice. Thank you!!

Then… the food! wow, for not even knowing what we were sitting down to, we were amazed. The pork chop, lamb, tagliatini entrees were excellent, as were the soup, salmon and croquettes on the small plates!

They even did a special order for one of our younger, pickier eaters (butter noodles).

Couldn’t be more pleased. would give 6 stars for service if I could. Thank you!

Cool Spanish joint in Russian Hill. A very tasty tapas spot with an even better drink menu. To start off, they had a beautiful meat and cheese board. The garlic shrimp probably the best item they have, was heavenly. The oysters were very fresh and of good quality. They had some delicious desserts as well. I always go with a flan if they have it. I do wish the octopus was a bit better, it let a lot left to be desired. The service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Abrazo is also a perfect spot for an intimate date, a family gathering or a special occasion.

Our daughter picked this restaurant to celebrate her achievement in school 2 weeks ago. Glad that we made a reservation since they were very busy. There were several tables with large groups and it took some time for our server to get our orders. We have been to Barcelona several times and love Spanish food. The food was good but not amazing. I was a little disappointed with my paella since it was dry and little seafood. The bread was excellent but expensive. It was a very expensive dinner and drinks for 4 people. It was a good night to celebrate since the ambiance was festive. Not sure if we’ll be back again. Also, parking is not easy and my husband parked our car several blocks from the restaurant. I would like to acknowledge the bus”woman” who was very attentive to our needs.

Serendipitously meet the Owner when asking for a nice place to dine the following evening. The place is set on the cable car line across from a local ice cream shop at the top of the Russian Hill neighborhood so just getting there is a treat. Great atmosphere and Exceptional service. The menu is small but potent. Would have loved to have tried everything but settled for the Seafood Piaella and the Braised Lamb. Didn’t bother with the shop across the street as Abrazo had a delicious Mango Sorbet.
