Our son took us to dinner here tonight.
Everything was delicious! We ate on the patio as he brought his two dogs with him.
We love that it is dog friendly.
Our waitress was wonderful! I didn’t get her name but she was great with us and the dogs!
The cook even stopped out and ask how everything was! (I think he wanted to see the dogs too ;)! Great place, people and food!
We will definitely be returning!

We stopped at The Chameleon on our way home from Iowa City based on other reviews. We’re so glad we did! They had a nice selection of tap beers and our bartender/server was very friendly! We ordered the hand breaded fresh pork T and it was absolutely the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve had quite a few! So glad we shared it because it was large and thick, and so delicious! We’ll definitely be back!

Definitely a neighborhood pub. All the patrons seemed to know each other and it was nice overhearing some of the joyful conversations.
The food was fantastic. The tenderloin and burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly, and my son loved the potstickers. We will definitely go back next time we’re in Mt. Vernon!

Super friendly staff, excellent food, and good prices. The breaded pork tenderloin is great! I asked about placing a large to-go order for a group of workers at a construction site. Nick and Matt were very accommodating and even closed the space to dining over lunch time so they could focus solely on perfecting the almost 30 orders. Everything was excellent, hot and ready to pick up right on time, and the whole crew was thrilled with their food. Great job everyone!

What a great small pub with great atmosphere and food. Food prices are reasonable; the quality great. I had a hand breaded porkloin, and dont really know how to best describe it. The fries was great, the beer cold. Well worth a visit. O, remember the outside porch in the back!

I was in Mt Vernon with my two kids looking for lunch while my daughter attended Cornell VB camp. They wanted to sit outside and we saw a sign that sign said, Patio Open! We walked through the restaurant and asked if we could sit outside and the server said, I guess. Her tone wasn’t friendly so I said we could sit inside if that was easier. She said it was fine, but never came out. We decided to leave. We walked back through the small restaurant and the server refused to acknowledge us and didn’t say one single word to us. Poor kids were miserable:( Zero Stars!

This place is alright nothing special or that I’d brag about! The food was good, service was excellent my only complaint would be to make it more handicap accessible on the inside! The tables are on a high platform that you have to step up on not very good for people with leg issues and the place is small so it makes you feel crammed I don’t think we will be back

Food was good. Our server did not write down what we ordered and got 2 of the 3 meals wrong. Hard to push the rating higher than that with that level of incompetence.
