Last night, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with three friends at a delightful French restaurant. The service was exceptional, with the staff providing great recommendations that truly enhanced our meal. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, complemented by soft French music that set the perfect mood for conversation.
The food was simply delicious, showcasing authentic French flavors that left us all impressed. We also appreciated the good selection of wines, which paired beautifully with our dishes. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend.

It was a very intimate and quiet environment. I had the duck confit with a lobster bisque for my appetizer. My wife had the red snapper. Both dishes were excellent! They had changed their location from the beaches to where they are now due to the hurricanes last year. They were a bit slow, I hope that they make it and that the community supports this little gem. Is a great place if you want exceptional food and a quiet environment where you can enjoy your conversations.

Delicious! We had the lamb chops dish and a shrimp and scallops dish – both were wonderful. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was lovely. Gulf Bistro will now be a regular date night spot for us. Highly recommend!

Gulf Bistro vanished from its previous site, and it took time to track them down, tucked away in a strip mall in Largo, but the hunt was worth it. The food was terrific–authentic French (the only truly-French restaurant we have found in the area). EVERYTHING is made on site by the chef–awesome lobster bisque through beautiful desserts. A bit pricey (but every place is) and they have a great wine list. If you’re up for a real French experience, this is it. Don’t let the outside fool: the inside is REALLY French!

If you’re looking for a romantic French dinner under candlelight with French background music this isn’t your place.
Very tight quarters, bright fluorescent lights, loud patrons and no music.
Knowing you’re going to drop $150 a couple for dinner you kind of want all the above.
I had the frog legs appetizer which were very good. Even though I only got three legs. I think that’s a frog and a half haha. Not to mention the prices were higher than posted online.
I had the ribeye steak which was very tasty. Unfortunately I ordered it medium rare and it came out medium well done.
My wife ordered the lobster pasta. Pretty skimpy on lobster for the price. Could have ordered an entire lobster tail for the same price at a upscale seafood restaurant.
The staff was very friendly which I think was the owner.
The restaurant was very clean.
Limited parking.

We had a great meal here. We were walk-ins, seemed like everyone had made reservations and were getting busy when we were finished. We had the full meal of appetizer, salad, main course, and dessert and it was all delicious. My husband’s favorite was the fruit crepes Ala mod and my favorite was the lobster bisque. Also, the crusty French rolls were fantastic. Definitely some where you should try if you find yourself in Madeira Beach.

Authentic French cuisine. Delicious and extensive menu from appetizers to dessert so hard to choose. If Beef bourgigone is a daily special try it as very very good. Excellent Wine choices available. Attentive friendly service. Entrees run around $30. Hidden treasure.
