I love this place! The bowls are huge and always made beautifully! Açaí bowls are now my entire personality thanks to them! Reminds me of home when I’m missing Huntington Beach on these cold Boston winters.

I love Playa Bowls, from their customizable bowls to their coffee its all so good. Their staff is very friendly and helpful especially those who close on Wednesday nights. I I’m actually writing my advertising final about this brand, and how they could increase their consumer base and come up with special bowls utilizing fruits that are native and in season in the New England region!

I had a wonderful experience at this location, came in was greeted with smiles and warm atmosphere. I tried the Nutella bowl for the first time and it was made with love, brought me back to when my grandma would make homemade cookies all nice and warm. My server Molly was very nice and helped my friend with his gluten allergy even making him his own special bowl. I will definitely be coming back to this location. Megan, Danica, and Romeo were all very accommodating as well.

I don’t know if anyone will see this, but it is my hope that something can be done. This afternoon, I ordered from the Hudson MA Playa Bowl location for pick up. I have already ordered twice since it opened, and really enjoyed my meal. Today, it was very busy, which I expected. I came a little after the time my confirmation email said my order would be ready. When I came in, nobody of the 5 people I could see working addressed me. I had to speak up once other customers were getting served, and a young woman working said they were working on it after I told her my name. Time goes by, more orders are coming out. Another staff member asked my name, and confirmed they were still working on it. After 20 minutes (after I had arrived- my order is 20 minutes late at this point), I asked the young man who had approached me earlier to make sure my order was actually being worked on. I even had an email confirming it was ready, I showed him and the young woman from before, rudely, shouted, “That’s not accurate”. Okay… well the man goes to check and it turns out my order was never printed and has Not been being worked on, despite being confirmed several times it was. In my frustration, I said “That’s crazy.” Well, the young woman who was making bowls, who had in fact confirmed she was making my order when I had come in on time for my order, replied back, “You’re crazy.” Maybe she thought I couldn’t hear her, but I certainly could. I said, “Excuse me? Do you have something to say?” And then she said “I don’t get paid enough for this.” I was shocked at her behavior. I have worked in many restaurants, some not unlike Playa Bowls, and I know that when it is busy, things can become overwhelming and orders can be missed. But it’s the fact that two separate times I was told my order was being worked on, when it wasn’t. There is no excuse for this. I immediately asked for a refund and left, very upset. There goes 35+ minutes, I have nothing to eat and a stranger just called me crazy. No other workers commented on this employee’s behavior, some even looking down and giggling like this is funny. I wonder who is supposed to be in charge? It seemed like all very young people working. Anyways, I hope a member of management or leadership sees this and addresses the behavior of this staff member. She was a plain looking young woman, long brown hair pulled into a ponytail with a hat on. She was working the station that decorated the bowls I assume, using squeeze bottles and cutting bananas. She wasn’t even the person handing out orders, and she still addressed me this way. I am just shocked still honestly.
