Gibson’s Cat Cafe is more than just a little coffee spot with cats for myself and husband. It is a place we have gone to recover, to heal, and to find a little bit of joy. The owners, Drew and Shelby, didn’t know us from Adam when we first visited years ago. Yet, it felt like we had been friends for a very long time.
Since then, my husband and I have drove over an hour multiple times to continue going. Drew and Shelby are very passionate about their mission of saving cats and loving people. We have gained some very awesome friends over the years and are very blessed to have this business that stands by their mission in every way possible! Gibson’s is love, acceptance, and community. Just like any other place, to receive those things, you have to respect the folks and cats around you!
I personally order their Fonzie with dark chocolate and that’s never been a miss, so yeah the coffee is pretty good as well! They have other options that I have heard are good and some non-coffee options.
We did apply for a cat once! Unfortunately, our apartment denied us. Shelby was just as sad for us as we were. She went an extra mile to try and see if there was any possible way to make it work. For that, we are very grateful to her. Rejection hurts, absolutely! The screenings and approval are necessary. These are little souls and their future needs to be more stable than their past. She takes that very seriously no matter what! Unlike a shelter, they do not need to constantly rotate these cats out to make room for more. The cats can wait for the perfect home and some need that. That makes it so much more special when you truly understand the passion put into their process of adoption.
All in all, if you love cats and you love people… Gibson’s is the place for you! If you haven’t gone, I believe you are truly missing out! We love Drew, Shelby, and their little family very dearly. They’ve done wonderful building this business.

This was our first visit to the new location and it was great! My granddaughter loves cats, but can’t have one. We just came to see the cats and play awhile! I love that it contributes to a good cause.
They have canned soft drinks and great coffee. There is also a little bookstore, I believe you can bring 3 and take 3.
It’s just an all around nice environment.

If you get a cat from here, it will be sick. The adoption fee is $100 and the vet bills are even more than that. I love my local businesses, but the owner of this one has an attitude like no other business owner I’ve seen (check other reviews, she leaves four paragraphs for every one star review). We used to frequent this place at least once a week, but the room always smells like pee and the cats all have snotty eyes. I noticed one was bleeding from its nose and they put it in a cage without really checking on it.
If you want to sit in a room with a bunch of cats (for free!) our local shelter is in need of volunteers! Go there, pet some lonely cats for as long as you want, log some volunteer hours- or just go for fun. The people there are much friendlier and (again) it’s free.
If you want to pet cats while supporting a local business (for free!!), you can go to the Neighborhood Pet Shoppe downtown! They have two store cats and they also have adoptable (and notably: not sick) cats on the side wall. You can ask the staff there to use the party room to let the adoptable cat run around and they will happily agree! So if you need to get some studying done and you can’t stand the smell of ammonia, just use their party room instead.
Shelby, I really think this is a great idea. I loved your business a long time ago, I just wish you took better care of your animals.

I’m an Okie from Tulsa and have been to Gibson’s twice while visiting a friend who lives nearby. Gibson’s beats out my local cat cafes by far!
The owners are very friendly and personable. The coffee is absolutely delicious and their signature drinks are named after their beloved kitties, how fun is that?! The visiting prices are extremely reasonable, as are the adoption fees!
This family owned and operated business truly cares about the cats they’re helping find furr-ever homes. Last I checked, it was over 800 cats adopted!
Oh, and check out the neat library in the back with some of the most beautiful cat murals!

I wish I could leave more than just 5 stars because our experience was so great!! I took my 2 year old to see the kitties, and she loved every minute of it! We even took a minute to read a children’s book from that section of the library during our visit. Shelby was so kind and even let my daughter try on her cat ears because she was so impressed with them! I couldn’t say enough good things about Gibson’s! Our favorite kitty there was Charming, and it turns out he is a permanent part of the Gibson’s family, so make sure you give him extra scratches from us when you see him! There’s nothing better for a serotonin boost than sipping on some coffee while watching your kid be so excited to see the cats! We can’t wait to go back because of how welcoming and kid friendly it was!

Finally got the chance to visit Gibson’s Cat Café, and it was so much fun! The coffee is delicious, café is cozy, clean, welcoming, and the staff’s super friendly. My daughter and I loved spending time with the kitties – each one has such a sweet personality!
If you’re a cat lover (or just looking for a unique, relaxing outing), I highly recommend stopping by. We’ll definitely be back! ☕️

I’ve been coming to this business since the original location in downtown Conway. I hadn’t really had any bad experiences with service other than drinks taste in a bit off, but I can deal with that. As an owner of six beautiful cats I know what it’s like to have a lot of cats in a room. I know it can get stinky quick and I know it can be hard however, when I visit it today, I realize that these poor babies are living in slob. We saw the long haired cat today, and he already looked as if he had mats on his belly. A few of the kitties were resting on the couches when I realized they were inside of the couches that’s not safe. I witnessed an orange cat and a tuxedo cat throw up twice which kind of worries me. What food are they eating? What litter are they using? Do the owners know what to use for these cats. There were multiple throw up spots and it’s not appetizing to see that when you have a coffee in your hand. As much as I enjoy seeing these cats. I don’t enjoy seeing the place that they have to live in. I know it can be hard for two owners, but this was a bit frustrating. As an owner of six cats. I hope that this place cleans itself up a bit and gives these cats a better place to stay.

i’ve been coming to gibson’s quite frequently every since i adopted my cat from here!! owners are always very nice whenever i come to visit!! honestly this place has been my winter obsession… so i’ve been coming a LOT lol.
the coffee is always so good!!!!! They bring it into the lounge at a reasonable time, and it tastes fresh and yummy! the service is great and shelby has always been very friendly! there is a beautiful little library in the back, board games, seating, etc. Worth the visit even if you aren’t coming for the cats, honestly!
Now for the cats/lounge… AGHHH I always enjoy my visit, and usually 15 or 30 mins isnt long enough for me haha!! If i could visit daily, i would. I adopted my beautiful cat from Gibson’s in December, and she has become my absolute world!! Many of these cats are amazing family cats, or typically good with other animals (from what I’ve noticed!! every cat is different obviously) You make lasting connections with the kitties there, and it is hard not to walk out with 10 adoption apps. it is obvious the amount of care and love that the owners put into the cats.
The adoption process for my girl was very simple. I applied during the holidays, and they still got back to me in a timely manner! Cats are only 100 dollars when the adoption is approved, which is AMAZING for purchasing an animal. If anybody says this is unreasonable…. they lying
Okay main point being: 5 stars go support them!!!!

I go to Gibson’s every chance I get because it’s a very special place with a very special purpose. It’s so many things to our family. It’s a meeting place, a quiet place, a place to pass time, a place to go when I need a pick me up. We have conversations about the cats and their different personalities. If you knew Enzo, or ever hang out with Fonzie and Charming, you know what we mean! And most importantly, it’s because of Gibson’s that we met and added Timmy to our family. I’m so grateful for Gibson’s. It’s so full of warmth and love. You can really feel the love for cats when you come in. There’s even a special wall to memorialize you babies who are waiting on the rainbow bridge. There’s much more but I’ve already written more than most will read! Gibson’s Cat Cafe is a wonderful place for any true cat lover.

Gibson’s cat cafe was great! I’ve been to many cat cafes in Asia but never one in the U.S. Drink purchases aren’t required! Since we didn’t get any drinks, I can’t comment on that. The place was surprisingly busy so we had to wait about 15-20 minutes without a reservation which is no problem because they had books and games in the waiting room. I’m glad they limit the number of people so the cats don’t feel overwhelmed. Many places in Asia don’t do this… My boyfriend didn’t like the smell because he’s never owned cats before. The cats all get along very well and have calm temperaments. Staff were also very pleasant. Thanks for helping us have a fun date!
