Great bar! The old fashioned made for my wife ranks as one of the best she’s ever tasted. I had Ayinger Octoberfest from Germany that was exceptional. The two apps, carrots and pork belly were good, but could have been better. The pork belly was dry, the carrots a tad bland as served. The pizza was very good, with a crisp/tender crust. Both bartenders were excellent. We also had a nice visit with the owner, Mike. For a Tuesday night in a new town (on our way to Yellowstone), it was a fine evening overall.

This place is absolutely amazing, the food is priced well for what you get. I had the Montana Wagu, and my taste buds were absolutely blown away! The steak was cooked too perfection, and the potatoes were delicious. There was a slight spice to the braze that was on it, which complimented all the other flavors so well. If you’re ever in the Red Lodge area, I highly recommend stopping in to try some of the scrumptious options they offer. They definitely have the best pizza in town as well. You will not be disappointed, hope you enjoy the experience as much as I did.

My husband and I were on our way back from New Mexico. We had been camping in our camper for two weeks. We stopped in Red Lodge for the night before getting home to White Sulphur Springs. We had the pleasure of a fine evening at the One Legged Magpie. The food was to die for! One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Definitely a must when in Red Lodge.

Absolute perfection! We were welcomed immediately and seated for reservation. Service was impeccable. We had the delicious carrots to start followed by the MT wagyu strip and scallops- both were perfectly prepared and delicious. Cocktails were original and innovative. They had an amazing band performing, but the most impressive part was the warm and welcoming atmosphere and service. Kat went out of her way to welcome us (we are new to town), check in on our experience, introduce us to her husband Mike, a bartender, and one of the musicians. Honestly, could not have asked for better food, beverages, service or music. We can’t wait to return. Do NOT miss this place when coming to Red Lodge.

My husband, a family friend and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night! Hubby and I ordered the Tasting and our friend had the steak dinner. Everything was delicious and our wine and beer selections were great. With the Tasting, we had the beignets and they put a candle on it for me as we were celebrating my belated birthday! We were visiting the area and decided to stop here for dinner and a couple adult beverages. We had the capri salad, margarita pizza ant chocolate tort with ice cream. This was one of the best meals I have ever had. The margarita pizza was the best we’ve ever had and we have eaten pizzas in Italy. The staff was absolutely incredible. The owner were also there working right along beside them. As for the atmosphere also in a word great. If you are in the area this is a must stop if you’re looking for amazing food, drinks, amazing friendly service with a great atmosphere. Truly a 5 star restaurant. As for the bartenders they are top notch as well.

Do not pass this place up. The staff was amazing. Corinne, Rosie, Owner and everyone else. The food was some of the best I’ve had, the Gin Fizz, Carajillo, Golden Girls and Migration 2 Stuttgart were the best. I had the duck breast plate and pork belly app. Friend had the carrots app and waygu entree. Yall we have to come back. This will be the number 2 reason I have to come back besides family.

Believe me when I tell you this was one of the BEST dinner and dining experience we have ever had.
Let’s start with Sarah, our server. She was so fun, so friendly, so down to earth. It was an absolute pleasure right away to chat with her. She helped us choose a bottle of wine and answered all our menu questions in depth.
Which brings me to the highlight of this experience- the Chef’s Taste. A three course family style dinner, each dish a surprise as the chef decides what he’s making for you. He even brought it out himself and each plate was nothing short of extraordinary. How Chef Charles doesn’t have three Michelin Stars yet is beyond me.
Combining this bottle of wine, this food experience, this atmosphere, the music and all the staff at One Legged Magpie… this was one of those rare experiences that we’ll reminisce on for decades. It’s now the meal we’ll compare all future meals to whenever we eat out.
There is so much more I could say about all the magical details and flavors and how perfectly it all came together. But with deep gratitude to the proprietors who created this space and the Chef, the most important thing I can say is this- RUN, don’t walk to make a reservation and experience this for yourself.

I’ve been to many elegant dining locations around the country and the One Legged Magpie is a step above others for sure. The atmosphere is inviting and warm. The ambience and food were unlike anything I’ve experienced thus far. The genuine kindness of the weight staff and owners went above and beyond what I’ve experienced in the past. The taste and presentation of the food exceeded five stars. I highly recommend this business if you want to leave with a smile from cheek to cheek. Also, the photos you see is the actual food I received. The sauce that was created by the journeymen renowned chef was the most outstanding I’ve ever tasted. The silver dollar sized scallops were cooked to perfection and seared on both sides. The food I experienced is in the category of foodgasmic.
