Heard this truck had some of the best fish and chips in town and the rumors weren’t wrong. The owner is proud of his food for a good reason. Super fresh, great chowder. The oyster shooter is strong, be wary.

Eminently friendly couple serving up some fresh, tasty, crispy fried halibut and chips. My wife and I split a 4-piece which, at $40 a basket, we hoped would be enough to fill us up. Thankfully, the halibut pieces were not only massive, they were also tender, flaky, juicy and piping-hot! Among the best in the city, if you ask me!

Additionally, the Piedmont Station food cart pod is probably the most aesthetic in Portland, and has a solid variety of dining options. Although we initially came here to try another cart, which was closed outside of their posted operating hours, their loss is Halibut’s gain (and ours)! Delicious food, incredibly friendly shop owner, and fun little eating area. The halibut and the cobblers both great. The cod was moist and flaky, and the halibut was firm and flavorful. Would recommend a plate with 2 of each. The claim chowder was also very flavorful and well worth getting. Would recommend for an easy stop with covered outdoor seating!

Such a great spot. The food is exceptional. The tempura is perfection! Best part? You can grab a beer from the nearby beer barn and wander the food carts while you wait. Great covered, open air, central patio and live music on occasional weekends. This spot never disappoints!

Absolutely the best fish and chips ever! The halibut is moist, tender and flaky. The cocktail sauce has the perfect amount of horseradish.

This is tucked away in a food truck park in Portland. Can be a little sketchy, but we parked across the street and walked around.

The halibut is a must try, but they are weighed and we got 2 pieces which one was more of a nugget. It’s a little pricey, but totally worth it.

They give you a buzzer so as long as you stay in the vicinity, you’ll be able to know when your food is done. My husband and I walked around, got our food and went to the car. We realized they didn’t give us our coconut prawn (store bought). When my husband went back the lady who showed up after we had already ordered our food was really rude to him. Complaining about every little thing and asking why the other gentleman had to give us the food as if we didn’t pay for it. She definitely treated him as if he was just another person looking to get free food. I will note that the gentleman who took our order was personable and very informative.

For this reason, we probably would go back, but if the lady is there, ruuuuunnnnn.

Best Alaskan Halibut fish and chips period. 4 piece halibut w coconut shrimp and couple sodas w tip will run $40. Worth it in my opinion. I am not a chowder fan but his chowder is damn good too.
And you don’t have to drive to the beach!
Again…can’t go wrong here. Delicious.
