We recently tried The Mango Tree and had a mixed experience. We ordered chicken fingers and fries, but unfortunately, the chicken was very hard and not suitable for toddlers, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the mixed grilled platter was quite good and enjoyable. However, the naan we ordered looked and tasted more like a simple roti rather than real naan, which didn’t meet our expectations.

Overall, the food quality was inconsistent — some items were tasty, but others fell short.

Amazing and authentic Indian food. Fast and friendly service.

My wife’s family is from India and she has been raving that this place tastes like her Mom’s cooking for some time now. She took me for lunch today and it was outstanding.

The garlic Naan bread was incredible, light and savory. The Chicken tikka was perfect.

The location is very large, I think the old Viking bar, plenty of seating and right off Sprague in the Valley.

For sure 5/5 stars, will definitely go again.

Quiet for lunchtime. Got seated right away. Definitely more of a bar and grill vibe but the Chicken Korma was so good! And the coconut naan was a great treat. Very delicious. Will definitely be back.

We made reservations earlier in the day and arrived about five minutes early, but still waited around 15 minutes for a table to be cleared. It seemed like one employee was doing most of the work while others appeared disengaged. The table was wet and sticky when we sat down. Not a strong first impression. -We noticed later my fiancé’s cup had lipstick on it. She doesn’t wear lipstick. -The man who sat is down also had the straws for the water in his hand like grabbing them clutching them with his whole hand.

Communication was difficult from the start, both on the phone when making the reservation and in person. -at least they were consistent here. We ordered one appetizer and received the wrong one. When it arrived, it was just okay. The spice level was fine, but the flavor was oddly one-note and a bit perfume-like, with large whole spices that shouldn’t really be there. Just not palatable. It needed more yogurt or a creamy element to balance it out.

For entrées, we ordered grilled kebabs and grilled chicken. Zero grilled meat flavor. The chicken thighs were surprisingly dry, which is hard to accomplish. The seasoning throughout was very one note. -red dye and very present, but not very flavorful. It felt like the moisture and fat had completely cooked out. The rice was decent basmati, but presentation was awkward. It was piled onto long square plates and kept sliding onto the table and our laps. The salad which was basically cucumbers cut into “choking hazard” large cubes (unpeeled), tossed with pepper, and served with no dressing was the worst salad I’ve ever had. -you’d think they’d have like a mango vinaigrette or something good right? We would have asked for some dressing, but our server never came back to check on us.

Service and food were both a huge issue. After dropping off the food, no one checked in. Everything was one note. We eventually had to walk to the front and wait several minutes just to ask for the check. We explained our experience, and to their credit, they comped the meal, which we appreciated.

Atmosphere wise, it felt like a very budget sports bar concept. Like a Temu BWW. Some seating was ripped, and the space felt disorganized. The booth lighting was ok, but overall it lacked polish and attention to detail. .

I felt bad for the guy at the counter because he seemed like he was trying. This feels like a management problem, not one tired employee problem. But yeah, worst service we’ve ever had and the food was honestly not something we wanted to take home, and we barely ate it.

It wasn’t great. The food left a lot to be desired. The spinach dip was the best part of the meal but the amount was ridiculous. Make it a $12 app with half the portion. The mixed grill was … gross.. the “butter sauce ” tasted like sweet tomato soup. The salad had no dressing. The lamb was tough. The bone in chicken was very dry. The other chicken was two very small bites and there was more fish than necessary.

The service was slow. The girl didnt seem to care about our dining experience either way. Not rude or unfriendly. Just inattentive and no sense of urgency.

We left everything on the table, no to go boxes. Even the naan was flat and dry/ stale. I’ve had better off of grocery store hot bars for less.

And we definitely won’t be returning.

We had a wonderful experience at Mango Tree Hotel in Spokane! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating from the moment we arrived. We ordered a curry bowl with mushroom rice, and the host was kind enough to swap out the complimentary rice for mushroom rice without any hesitation.

My wife wasn’t feeling well, and the host went above and beyond by offering a special lemonade with soda—even though it wasn’t on the menu. That thoughtful gesture really meant a lot.

We also tried the Shahi Paneer and garlic naan—both were absolutely delicious! Great food, amazing service, and warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

Fantastic place to come hang out with friends. Great food. Great vibes. Great over age 21 place without it being a full on bar.

We love Indian food and thought we would give this a try. It isn’t quite Indian and it is that good. We asked for iced tea, mango chicken salad with lemon vinaigrette. The iced tea was warm, the mangos were mushy soft (canned?), and lemon vinaigrette had neither lemon nor vinegar.
Our server disappeared, another came and asked how we were doing. He brought ice for the tea, ranch and blue cheese dressing and promised the vinegarette would be remade and come shortly. We finished the salad without the dressing, which never appeared.
Won’t be going back.

Not the type of review I like to leave, but for the benefit of the restaurant, these are items they need to improve on. I gave the review two stars because the curry itself was amazing, everything else was disappointing. The naan bread was hard and chewy as if it had been warmed up in the microwave. It actually made eating difficult. Naan-bread is normally one of my favorite parts of the meal. I discussed it with the other people at my table and they all agreed it was not up to standards.

Food took a really long time to arrive. The place was empty when we arrived at 5:30. Maybe one or two people picked up their takeout while we were waiting for our food.

Our waitress was Marina, (that’s what’s on my receipt anyway.) her service was bare minimum at best. If that was the only problem, I would just chalk it up to her having a bad day, but I think it runs deeper than that. While serving the curry, she spilled a couple of them and didn’t bother to clean up the puddle on the floor. It was still there when we left. She put all the items on one check when we clearly were not all from the same family,(5 women and 4 kids.). And at the end when we asked to divide the check, she seemed a bit irritated about having to do that.

Again, I don’t like to complain, but if the manager is concerned about the quality of this restaurant, experiences like this will make it tank very quickly. I’ve been to the Mango Tree in North Spokane a couple times and have always had a great experience. This was my first time at the Valley location.

We went to Mango Tree last night. It’s a large restaurant with plenty of seating. Lots of TVs playing sports and a great drink menu.
It was a good fusion of and Indian and American feel and menu.
The service was quick and friendly. We tried our servers two recommendations: mango curry (level 3) and kahrahi (level 4). The spice level was mild even at 3 and 4. In a traditional Indian restaurant level 2 normally is enough spice for us.
Both curries were tasty and it was a good balance of savory and sweet.
We would go again.
