They have the best gumbo in Port Arthur, Texas. I moved here 9 years ago, and I’ve never had gumbo that was a tad bit similar to where I’m from, which is Louisiana. I’m eating their gumbo today lol.

Fresh hot rolls were so soft and delicious. My fried shrimp were seasoned wonderfully! Not overly Salty, but just right for me. Not a fan of fries. But they offer home-made potato chips as a side too and I wish I’d gotten them. It’s tucked in a small shopping center and we got there as soon as they opened. Friendly staff! Wonderful meal. “Sonic ice” if that’s your thing

I got a fried shrimp poboy from here and it was disappointing. They only put a single piece, not even a whole leaf, of lettuce on both halves of the sandwich, and only put 4 pieces of shrimp throughout the whole sandwich. Tia Juanita’s is better. Fries were good though.
