According to The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, Be Happy Restaurant 362939, 641 Schuylkill Ave. Reading, November 18. Pass. Raw chicken was stored above raw beef, in the refrigerator. Raw Food in the refrigerator area stored open with no covering. Potentially hazardous ready-to-eat food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 48 hours, located in the refrigerator, is not being date marked. Hood systems has not been cleaned by professional no time stamp nor documentation indicating last time hood was cleaned. Mops are not being hung to air dry.

Service was weird two owners, I believe husband and wife and they just looked at each other to see which one would serve me. I placed my order got sweet n sour chicken white rice and pizza egg roll. Some of the pieces of chicken the breading looked like it was freezer burnt kinda white-ish with lots of holes most of the chicken was regular color and texture. As I was waiting I just was looking around and realizing how dirty that place was i dont know if I would have ordered. But they say some of the best food comes from those places but was basic nothing to write home about. Just gotta make a mental note not to get hungry for Chinese on a Monday cause my go-to spot for Chinese is not open hence why I tried this place.

I was introduced to this restaurant by my brother in law. I grew up and am still from NYC, we had a Chinese restaurant that made pizza rolls, and long ago they shut down. Pizza rolls had become my favorite at the Chinese restaurant because they were so delicious. I have visited many food places that would have pizza rolls on the menu but didn’t have them in stock. So, having visited my family in Reading, PA this was our first stop. Their pizza rolls are amazing. I wish they made them a bit bigger, but for the size they make them already, still hits the spot. If you’re ever in the area, give this place a try for their Chinese food. But don’t forget to add the pizza rolls to your order, you won’t regret it.

I called to order Delivery. The lady on the phone was very kind. However after giving her my address for delivery, hearing a guy (assuming coworker) Yelling “F that I’m not driving all the way out there, that’s too far [1.7 miles] they can go F themselves!!” I don’t believe I will be ordering anything from here. I understand if we are out of the delivery area, but let me know that and I will order somewhere else. Don’t act rude and scream obscenities with the customer on the phone.

I ordered my food for delivery and I asked for a soda with my food and when I got inside I checked to see if everything was there and it wasn’t and I tried calling them and they told me to wait for an hour and then we called back to see if they were going to bring it and told us to wait for tomorrow which is a waste of time and money and for all that might as well get a refund. Also the communication is just off too it’s very confusing to understand what they’re saying on the order.

Just went to this place yesterday to try it out. My mom lives close by and there was construction going on in the street so didn’t felt like driving anywhere, and I love how the food tasted, specially the rice! Gave me a 2liter Mountain Dew, I guess after a certain amount they give it to you? Or maybe she was just being very nice.
