The staff were so nice and polite. The food was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with my grilled shrimp dinner. They were plump and perfectly cooked and seasoned. I could not finish my fries, beans or coleslaw because the shrimp were so filling. My fiance had the walleye and the fillets were cooked perfectly as well and so tasty. We would recommend this place to anyone especially on a Friday night.

Like bars? This is a good one. Cash only. The food is bar food, but complements to the kitchen as it is tasty bar food. Best cheese curds I’ve had. The burgers are great as well.

Only had take out so far but it was delicious! Great bank for your buck! We had traditional Wisconsin Fish Fry (perch & blue gills) lightly breaded with plenty of sides. Broasted chicken and pork chops were juicy and flavorful, no season salt to drown out the real flavor of the meat and great sides to boot!

Stopped on the way to the UP. The place was disappointing. Service was horrible, food nothing to write home about; but there’s not much up that way, so you take what you can get. Next time, we’ll just keep driving.

HORRIBLE service under the new owners! Would have left a negative star review if I could. My family has been patronizing this bar for well over 40 years, but will NEVER go back again. We showed up around 6pm for dinner. There were only 4 of us and probably about 15 other patrons (mostly at the bar). We sat ourselves since there was no direction or assistance from staff and waited for menus. After 5-10 minutes of being completely ignored by the discourteous woman behind the bar, we got up and got our own menus and reviewed them for another ten minutes…Still NO service from the rude woman behind the bar who kept glaring at our table as she talked on the phone and walked back and forth behind the bar. After nearly 15 minutes we decided to leave since they obviously didn’t want our business and the ‘bartender’ was busy chit chatting behind the bar. Don’t waste your time or $ here. Instead head down the road to Country Roads Bar and Grill where the food, service and specials are exceptionally superior to Northwoods which has, sadly, nosedived under the new ownership of Dan & Deb. If they continue to treat their customers like they did my family, they will be closing doors the same year they opened them!
