This French pâtisserie came highly recommended by a friend, and as someone who travels to France often, I was curious to try it. I ordered the chocolate brioche, which struck a lovely balance—rich and chocolatey without feeling heavy. The texture reminded me slightly of a scone, though lighter and more refined.
I arrived mid-afternoon on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised to find freshly baked goods still available, making it a great option even if you don’t get there early. The space itself is gorgeous, with elegant details and a stunning chandelier that makes it a place you actually want to linger and enjoy the moment.
A beautiful place to slow down and enjoy a proper pâtisserie moment.

We loved this place when we went to Belgium and London. When we found out this place opened in NYC I was so excited!
My daughter in law brought assortment of pastries home and we tried almost everything in the bakery.
Merveillux were freshly made. Not too sweet and melt in your mouth.
Bread pudding was good and portion was huge. Little bit heavy and dense. Meringue was airy and fresh. It was too sweet for me, but great to buy mini ones as a gift. Milk bread was fresh. They use le Columbe coffee and price was so reasonable.
They have seating upstairs so it’s great spot to have dessert and coffee. Reason for 4 star is because it didn’t meet my expectations of quality we had in Belgium. But it’s still one of the great place in NYC to have unique and fresh pastries and coffee.

Amazing bakery with several good options. The food was outstanding and the coffee was also very good. The 4 starts, instead of 5, was because of the slow staff and crowded space. Anyway, I would still.suggest going there and trying as many good pastries as you can fit, and also bring some extra home.

Absolutely scrumptious array of pastries and drinks for a very reasonable price. The chocolate bread pudding was a star. Non-dairy options for free for creamer. Lots of nice upstairs seating

We live the meringue pastries here, we usually go to the one downtown but tried this midtown one yesterday. The pastries are still delicious but service is a bit lacking. We ordered 7 mini meringues with a coffee and a tea, she forgot the coffee and we had to wait for her to finish up with the other customers after us before she got it to us. They were also out of napkins (only one person working the counter).

Went there based on the reviews. Among the many things I bought both the chocolate croissant and the pesto sandwich were very good. The drinks were very disappointing (cappuccino and caramel late). The mini meringues with cream were ok but you could tell the meringue itself is very good maybe I should’ve just taken the plain meringues.

Picked up a box of 6 mini Merveilleux and they were absolutely amazing! Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Each flavor was delicious — you can really tell they’re freshly made. The shop itself is super cute and smells incredible.

Used to be great – few years ago I loved around the corner and would stop by often. Today, I had a chocolate croissant and hot chocolate – croissant was flat, undercooked, and had very few, thick layers. Hot chocolate was given without the whip cream, when I asked for it (mainly bc there was an extra charge for it) the guy looked annoyed and barely put any on. Worst of all, the hot chocolate tasted like water. Maybe today was a rough day for them, good memories and benefit of the doubt gives them the 2nd star.

I stopped by the shop today to give them a second chance. I was surprised by the staff’s warm welcome. All 3 of them almost greeted me at the same time. A big change compared to my last visit.
I picked the Chocolate Cramique and Sugar Cramique to share with my family. They were warm and smelled so good. Although both were delicious, the Chocolate was slightly yummier. I paired the cramique with green tea.
