I was able to eat in at Ichiban Asian Fusion. The service was quick and helpful. The menu was heavily Americanized, with simple stir fry dishes, classic American-Chinese chicken options, and cream cheese-forward sushi rolls. Everything was fresh to order, but most items felt a bit under seasoned for my taste. The dishes were simple, which I think offered mass appeal, which was evident because the restaurant was very busy while I was there!

I love Ichiban! Easily my favorite sushi between Hamilton, Colerain, Oxford and Harrison. It’s great portion sizes for the price and is always delicious. We’ve never had a bad meal!

The sushi was good, but I specifically ordered something that didn’t have avocado as an ingredient (Naruto Roll) because it doesn’t sit well with my stomach, and it still came with avocado. The lo mein was good. It’s hard to really rate ‘service’ since you order, they bring it out to you, and that’s it. It’s a smaller restaurant and can feel a little crowded if there’s a rush of people, but it wasn’t too much of an issue. I would say it’s worth visiting, but isn’t high on my list of places I would return to. 7.4/10 overall.

The hibachi steak was really good. It was actual sirloin (see pic) vs that stringy steak you sometimes get in other takeout. It was well done, but it didn’t get chewy because of the marinade. It wasn’t too salty like some takeout can be. The sushi rolls were all made to order and tasty. My husband got the general tso’s and he said it wasn’t too sweet or too salty – the best he’s had at any place around here. Also the family working there was really nice. Thanks Ichiban for making an easy weeknight for us.

Update from 5 years ago… We still like Ichiban. Appetizers and Sushi prices are still good value and taste good. Other dishes have been hit or miss. If you get bento boxes I don’t recommend shrimp (tiny shrimp)but the chicken one is good. They only have miso soup. I miss the noodle soup with the big shrimp.
Review from 5years ago…It’s good. Not my favorite sushi but my husband loves the Valentine roll and I like the shrimp tempura appetizer. The bento box gives a nice variety of items for a good sized meal at a good value.

At last, i found me a sushi place close by. Ichiban has a decent selection of sushi for great prices. Most of the rolls you see that typically range from 10-15$ are only $9.99. Basic roles go for around $4.99. I did not try their hot food yet, but if it is as good as their sushi then you will not be wasting your time. This is a small and quit place to eat. I came on a friday around 1:00pm and it was not super busy. I did see a lunch special from 11:30 – 3:30, 2 rolls $8.25 and 3 rolls for $11.75.

I have order from this place for a little over 3 years now, this place has never let me down. Their service is always top notch, as well as the food; fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend to anyone in the Cincinnati area, best sushi out there.

Everythyng is avararage and pricey. Inside feels cold and uncomfortable. What you see on the picture cost $50 and its a lot for what you get. Rolls are taste flat. They are trying to save on fish and put tiny pieces in those philadelphia rolls so you chewing cream cheese with rice… Thank you for that fish being fresh at least

This is a picture of my food untouched as you can see it is 90% rice. I paid $20 for the Ichiban Special which is steak, shrimp and chicken. This is a rip off. The portions are a joke.
