Golden Wok is one of the best places ever their food is always really good and nice to eat they got amazing things on the kid’s menu like sugar donuts.

The food was very good. Large portions and well priced compared to other takeout restaurants. I do recommend placing the other ahead of time. You don’t pay until your order is ready.
Make sure to grab a menu and circle what you want so it’s easier for them to let the chef know what to make, since everything is made fresh to order.
Lunch and dinner peak hours are very busy and there is only 1 lady taking orders, busing and checking people out. So please be patient with her.
Our food was out in 15-20min.
We ate inside and still had leftovers for the next day. Definitely recommend!
We got, sweet and sour chicken with rice, chicken lo mein, orange chicken, chicken wings with rice and extra egg rolls and cream cheese wontons. Please get that sweet and sour and shrimp sauce on the side it’s so good you’d want to dip everything in it lol sorry all the food was not pictured.

Food was really bad and exspensive for the quantity and quality. Ordered Generals chicken and it didn’t taste like any Generals chicken I’ve ever had. Very sour, and almost like a sweet and sour or alot of duck sauce or something. Didn’t even eat a quarter of it. Ordered some crab rangoons and when I got there they were just cheese rangoons. The cheese rangoons were super small. Not your typical rangoon wrapper. I thought ordering during the lunch hour would save money. The Generals chicken was advertised at 7.95, but my bill was 17.00 for the 2 items with no drink. Absolutely a horrible price for the meal. How could this meal be more exspensive than a decent sit down restaurant? Really dissapointing.

The BEST Chinese food in North Carolina! The garlic chicken is my favorite dish and the fried cream cheese wantons are my favorite of any Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been in! We are a family of six and they have even packaged our takeout in boxes to prevent spills for the ride home. Excellent service. Worth the wait. Order an hour before pickup during busy times.

Best Chinese food around. Simple as that. Ordered 20 mins till close, at the counter. Food was out in under 10 mins. As hot and fresh as could possibly be. Egg roll was handmade and it was all under $10 after tax.
Tastes better than anything in the Winston/Salem area. I would literally drive an hour for Golden Wok in Wilkesboro.
Stuffed the container so full it could barely close. id say for $9.98 after tax it was about $1.50/lb if you want to measure it that way. Two meals for the price of one imo.

Stopped by for lunch at take out on the way fishing. The menu states that the lunch special comes with your choice of a spring roll or wonton on the side. My complaint is that we got neither. Had I known I wasn’t going to get a spring roll with my plate I would have ordered one on the side! You don’t get the sweet friendly Chinese ladies you get at most places. This lady looks like she runs a Mafia or something, very serious

I love this place, best Chinese in Wilkesboro! But let me explain why I gave 4 stars. This place takes a LONG time to get your food ready. The quality of the food gives them 5 stars, but I took 1 star away for the long wait times. I’m still willing to drive past another Chinese restaurant to get to this one. I definitely recommend, just be prepared to wait for it.

Have visited several times and enjoyed good hot food. Shrimp egg rolls are crispy and delicious. Limited staff to answer calls, so go in person and order. Ready in 15 minutes and still super hot when you’re home. Large portions and reasonable prices.
