When you order 8 chili cheese dog, only 3 were everything… hour before they close… best food… but, good question is… Where is my chili on my 3 everything chili cheese dog? It wasn’t under the dog… it wasn’t messy with chili! ;-; the other 5 hot dogs did have chili on it with cheese, one has relish and other was plain with cheese and chili.

One of our favorite stops when visiting family. The hot dogs are wonderful, but top them with chili they are amazing. The chili,not sure the recipe but it’s delicious. I always enjoy the Frito boats. Fritos and chili with cheese. So yummy. The prices are great and the customer service is always friendly. They have wonderful crushed ice(the kind you get at the hospital or sonic) good selection of drinks and seating outside!

So disappointed !!! I’ve loved Grey’s chili dogs and frito cups since I was a kid and they’ve always been excellent until today. Chili tastes like it has Jalapeños in it. Very hot (for chili dog). Doesn’t taste like it use to at all. Maybe next visit it’ll be good again (yes ill be back, not giving up on them after 1 bad experience)

It is just a little while in the wall but its food tastes the same now as it did 20 years ago. The atmosphere is okay as its outside seating only and the cheese on my dogs never melted so deducted points for that. But all in all, I’d go back for the taste of nostalgia.

Absolutely amazing place. I come here regularly. The hot dogs are DELICIOUS and Gray’s is so affordable. We got FIVE hot dogs and two drinks for just ~$12!!!! The service is super quick, too.

The local spot has been open since the late 1940s. I’ve been eating here every now and then for 15 years. Since a young chap, I devoured the chili, it is the second word in the name for a reason. Their chili is very good, especially when hot. The prices have gone up very slightly, but it still is the best price around for a quick bite. The staff are very friendly with gorgeous smiles, and are very fast with their orders, with care.

The chili is very, very tasty. No beans, thin and highly seasoned/spiced with a lot of beef but not too much, goes very well with the mustard and onions.
The only downside in my view is that the hot dogs aren’t as good as the chili. They are perfectly fine, but only as a vehicle for the chili, otherwise nothing to write home about.
Prices are fair. Cash only. I’d recommend trying a chili dog and carrying out more of the chili to have later at home or with a more premium frankfurter style all beef hot dog. I made some chili cheese burger sliders using this chili for a TV show watch party, and they were an enormous hit.
The menu also features other items like Frito pies and burritos, but I have really only stuck with the chili dogs and/or chili every time I’ve stopped by. It’s what they do best.

The chili dogs here make me wanna burst into tears of joy. They are so undeniably good, and the pricing is just too good to be true. Great food, great pricing, friendly service, and overall amazing. I will say that without a doubt, this is the best hot dog stand in Porterville.
