They’re customer service is great, keep it up! The day my husband and I got married we invited our pastors and our close friends telling them we really enjoyed this restaurant on our first visit there. They all enjoyed their meal there as well. Thank you I found a great Italian place in Port Huron that my husband and I could enjoy.
We order a pizza to go, so I asked to use the marinara sauce from the pasta to use on the pizza and it came out delicious. I did ask for black olives and they gave me green… Other than that it was good!

We were looking for a pleasant place to eat, and had just come from a disappointing attempt to do so in Lexington at 3 establishments I won’t name. Great Lakes Italian restaurant was next on our Google list, I must admit we were skeptical. Uptown entering, we were greeted in a genuinely friendly manner, and our server, Audrey, came right over. We were delighted with the service, and the food was excellent! One of the owners, George, came and greeted is after our meal, sincerely interested to know how our experience was. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Been wanting to go here for the past couple years. Finally went two weeks ago for dinner and tonight for pizza. Both times the food was great and I Must say, the pizza is AMAZING!!! Both me and my girlfriend we’re impressed. They put whole green olives on their pizza and they are Not shy with the rest of the toppings either! Awesome food, decent alcohol selection, clean, super nice waitress, what else can I say!?..

We went in the middle of the week so it was nice a quiet, the staff was friendly and answered all our questions (it was for our anniversary and it was our first time there) the food was priced fairly and tasted great. Nothing on our plates disappointed. I had the taste of the great lakes while my wife had scallop pasta (can’t remember the name off hand) and you can tell the bread sticks must have been home made. Over all a great experience, and we look forward to returning to try more of the menu.

The wife & I hit this place up for lunch and we were not disappointed. Alec was our waiter and was very friendly & attentive. George, the co-owner, came to our table and asked about the food and service and we told him they both were outstanding.
Both the lasagna and meatball sub for lunch were very tasty and I’ll certainly be back. They offer catering and hosting small parties too.

First time there and last I’m afraid. Its a shame too as we thought the pizza was good. We paid over $18 for a large pizza and only ate 3 pieces and took the rest to go but unfortunately someone forgot to grab the box. I called when I got home and was told it was thrown out. It was only a couple hours before closing. Maybe you should wait until closing time before throwing out forgotten food in case the customer comes back! I spent my hard earned money on that dinner and didn’t get my money’s worth because of a simple mistake. No offer of another complimentary pizza or anything just a very rude person saying “I’m sorry you forgot your pizza. Have a nice night”
We even talked to two of the waitresses for a few minutes before leaving and were in the parking lot for a few minutes but obviously neither of them noticed we left the pizza box on the table or tried to go after us to give it to us. Hope the staff enjoyed our pizza.

The food was very good and filling. The portions were a great size for the price and it has a nice, simple children’s menu. We went there for my son earning a free pizza through the summer reading program and we were very happy with the food that we received.

Conveniently located in Fort Gratiot, this independently owned, family operated Italian restaurant gives a welcome break to dining at the ho-hum chain restaurants that have taken over the area.
Not only does Great Lakes Italian provide a quaint, family dining atmosphere, the food they serve is delicious and fresh. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are large and the taste is outstanding.
Great Lakes Italian offers a variety of traditional Italian dishes, specialty pizzas and has a full bar with an extensive wine selection.
We went during the dinner service and we were seated immediately. Our service was prompt, polite and friendly, with Daniele guiding us through the menu and offering helpful suggestions based on our tastes.
All in all, we had a terrific experience and look forward to dining at Great Lakes Italian again.

Waitress and atmosphere were neat and clean. I ordered Italian Wedding Soup it was okay. For dinner had Chicken Piccata it was good. Prices were middle of the range in my opinion. Would I eat there again, sure.

Well lit and decorated. Friendly wait staff. Cheesy bread and antipasto salad were great. There was enough salad to share with four adults. Ordered large Blue Water Bridge Pizza. As soon as it arrived we all said “wow!” at once. It was so big, we had to take half home. Very generous with cheese and toppings. Excellent quality of ham as well as the other ingredients. Will have to order medium next time.
