Two Sticks & Tea
It’s very quiet and you won’t have problems getting a seat. The food from my perspective is so so. It’s probably up a few notches if you aren’t vegetarian. There’s only one vegetarian dumpling. I ain’t complaining – just saying so. They serve it boiled. If you want to pan fry it it’s less pieces. Their egg scallion pancake is interesting. It’s pan fried but sweet. I’ve never had a sweet scallion pancake before. The highlight is probably their chili sauce which looks homemade and is spicy. The meal reminds me I only come here every few years and likely won’t be back.

Place is so underrated, they make all their own noodles. Everything is always so dang fresh, beef knife cut noodles are my fav version of chow fun ever! Been coming back since the first month they opened.

Very tasty home style Northern Chinese food (I think Hebei region cuisine?). Everything is simple but tasty and well executed. They also make their own dumplings in house, fresh and tasty!
The spicy crispy tofu is genuinely crispy. The pieces didn’t get soggy at all over the course of the meal, which I have experienced at other places. They were nice and golden with a spicy kick.
The tomato and egg noodle soup was really flavorful. I didn’t expect something so simple to have so much flavor. They make their own noodles, which were nice and thick with a delightfully chewy texture. I had fun chewing on them
Spicy sesame paste cold noodles were good, definitely spicy. I would prefer if they could put more sesame paste in the dish though, I barely tasted the sesame flavor with all the spices.
We got the pork with napa cabbage dumplings. They were fresh, tasty, with a good amount of meat in them.
Everything is reasonably priced
All in all, very tasty place and good for the value. Will be back!

This place is the best I have ever had I am SO excited to go back for dinner, the second night in a row! The noodles must be home made and each item tastes freshly made! I would love here go be closer to this food

Had lunch here. Food was pretty good. Had the Lamb Knife-Cut Noodles (good flavor), Beijing Style Bean Paste Noodles w/ Pork (very mild flavor), Pork and Lamb Dumplings (both were tasty & juicy), Spicy Beef Tendons (nice spicy flavor).
Highlight for me were the dumplings–skins had a great chewy texture without being overly thick. Noodles were a bit too soft for my taste.
There was a slight glitch–the outsides of the Steamed Egg Yolk Buns were tough while centers were still cold–guessing they were frozen & were just microwaved. There were only four buns, instead of six as indicated on the menus. And there was some sort of confusion, as the waitress kept insisting these were Cream Custard Buns instead.

I love this damn place! I am from LA County and just HAVE to stop here at some point whenever I visit. I usually get the shao mai, beef roll pancake, or the pork shrimp dumplings w/ chives. Recently tried the pan fried Shanghai dumplings and enjoyed them. That honey flavored grapefruit drink? Maaaaaan SO GOOD. I usually get two of those because they are just so tasty and refreshing.

Ordered hot and spicy pork noodles – delicious, tasty but not at all spicy. Despite no heat, taste was very good – noodles were perfectly cooked, veggies were bursting with crunch and taste and pork was done well too and did I mention not spicy!! I also ordered the shrimp pork dumplings- spectacularly fresh! The place was packed on the night I dined in – indicative of its popularity! Only regret is that I didn’t have a bigger crowd with me to sample more of the menu!

Was craving some soup noodles so we decided to give this place a try. There was no wait on a Sunday morning at 11:15am. There was plenty of street parking at this time but I can imagine that it may be challenging at times.
Prices are fair and the service is okay. I’m giving them 3 stars because I thought the food was just okay. The lamb noodles had plenty of meat and the texture of the noodles was nice and chewy – sadly, the broth wasn’t that flavorful for me. Green beans were a little bit on the oily side and weren’t cooked in the traditional way.
The dumplings were a little disappointing for me especially since the restaurant is supposed to be known for its dumplings. The filling was a little bland and the skin was thick.
Overall, not great but not bad, just A-OK!

Dine in is much better than take out if you want to experience chewy fresh texture of dumplings. I love their spicy wonton and sweet and sour soup. The chive shrimp dumpling and chicken fried rice are also great too. Tea was super hot. I wish they have sesame oil on the table to go along with dumplings. Their house spicy sauce has nice bean paste taste and kicks.

Customer service was minimal. The one server didn’t even notice us walking in. The last time I walked in, seated myself, and grabbed the menu for myself was at a restraunt owned by a family member. The whole time during our meal she was sat at a back table on her laptop and phone. Food was decent at best. The pork and cabbage dumpling had very thick skin, Dan Dan noodles were way too oily, and the fried chicken were pretty mushy and had too much sauce. Overall would not recommend coming here if you really want traditional dumplings, noodles, etc.
