We dived in and finished the first plate of the order and forgot to take a picture.
Our friend ordered a Diamond Bento, very good size with salmon sashimi, teriyaki salmon and lots of food. Seafood soup is disappointing though.

I just passed by on my way to another restaurant and decided to make a stop here and boy! Im so glad I did. One of the best sushi I have ever had in all of Canada! The service was amazing, staff was friendly and food was incredibly fresh and awesome. The free ice cream offered at the end was awesome too.
I got the shrimp dumplings, Diamond Sushi playywr and fried banana and all were 10/10 and very affordable too.

Was looking for a place for dinner while exploring downtown Halifax, and decided to try this place because the prices looked reasonable and it was highly rated. Small restaurant, looks cute. Portion size is great. Sushi and sashimi was delicious and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised the beef udon came with marinated beef which was really good. Server was very attentive. As someone visiting from Calgary, it was great value considering the portion sizes. I definitely recommend eating here!

What a hidden gem. By far my favorite in Halifax. Their service is top notch and they truly care about the art of making perfect rolls. The taste even was somehow better. Price point…veryyyyy good. To be able to buy 4 pieces of butter fish for $8?!? That’s a first. I am soooo excited to go back and bring my husband!

Super delicious sushi restaurant by Spring Garden Rd. The service was exceptional and the menu was easy to navigate. The menu items we ordered tasted very fresh and arrived to our table quickly. Will definitely come back again for a sushi type of day. They also currently have a promo for your dine-in/ take out order worth $25 or more, you get a free Yam Tempura roll or Spring Rolls!

While I won’t consider myself a big fan of sushi(seafood doesn’t suit me sadly) I accompanied my close friends to this restaurant.
I ordered a Ton Katsu Don (Deep-Fried Pork) while my friends got a Spicy Salmon Roll and Vegetable Dragon Roll. I must say the Don was absolutely perfect. This will be a guaranteed order from my end whenever I visit again. It honestly couldn’t be any better. My friend also liked their orders although they didn’t call it the best in Halifax so maybe that crown belongs to some other Sushi restaurant in their books.
We were also given free spring rolls and ice cream as there was some offer for dine-in during specific hours. There are extremely rare instances where the Service and Hospitality trumps the food quality of a place for me, but happily this was one. Thank you again to the entire staff of Zen House for your kindness and excellent service.
I can definitely recommend this place to anyone who wishes to try some authentic Japanese cuisine in Halifax.
