China King Buffet is hands down one of the best places to eat in Indianola! The buffet has a huge variety of fresh and hot food, from the egg rolls and fried rice to the General Tso’s chicken and lo mein, and everything is constantly refilled so it always tastes fresh! The staff is friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean and comfortable, and the prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. Whether you come here for a quick lunch or bring the whole family for dinner, this place never disappoints!

The selection is pretty much what you’d expect from your average Chinese buffet. Despite only having one buffet bar, they manage to do a well enough job of keeping the pans full and mostly fresh. Personally I could stand to see sesame chicken added to the line up, but I’ve eaten at the China King Buffet 6 or sometimes and yet still no sesame . The owner is cordial and the waiting staff always has a smile and is attentive to your parties needs, be it a high chair or a fresh beverage.

I ordered the 8pc wing for $6.99 and the lg.pepper steak with white rice. I began eating my chicken in the car. It was very hot and juicy but tasteless. I didn’t know until I got home that it wasn’t fully cooked. The pepper steak and rice was awful. It tasted like the bell peppers were bad. I became sick. Their wings were always delicious in the past. I don’t know what happened but I’ll never ever eat there again.
