We enjoyed breakfast here on a recent trip through Thermopolis, WY. Located on the “main drag” through town, we went there on a Sunday morning at around 6:30 am, which according to Google, were within its normal business hours, but the “closed” sign was still up on the window. Aaaaah! No worries, the server on duty quickly remedied the situation. She (I’ve since forgotten her name) was super-friendly and gave us a thorough history of the restaurant, previous names, owners, etc. The dining area was spotlessly clean and well-lit. Our food arrived quickly and piping hot, cooked to our specifications. My husband had the breakfast plate and I had a half-order of biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon. The prices were reasonable, too. If/when we pass through Thermopolis again, we will definitely keep the 7 Lazy S on our list!
The restaurant also has a bar next door where they feature live music on the first Friday of every month.

Very good food and friendly service. I had a steak and baked potatoes and both were wonderful. Service is friendly and they have free refills on the fountain drinks and clean bathrooms. Came with a nice salad too.

Lazy S Cafe served very good not fancy American style food. The Cafe was very clean and nice. We had grilled chicken breast dinner and grilled shrimp dinner. We split our dinners so we could have chicken and shrimp. I’d say the chicken and shrimp were both cooked perfectly. The sweet potatoe fries were tasty and my baked potatoe was just right. The salad was crisp and fresh. Staff was courteous.

Don’t let the outside of this place fool you, there is true magic going on inside!! From the staff to the food and decor, this place knows how to do it!
We were greeted immediately with smiles and good mornings from several staff members, all with genuine welcoming smiles. Our drink orders were taken as soon as we sat down and came out before we had even finished reading the menu! We got medium spicy Bloody Mary’s and they were spot on, with a pickle I might add! I love pickles!!
I got the top breakfast plate and hubby got the Cajun Skillet. My breakfast came with THREE eggs, cooked perfectly, and the best bacon I think I’ve ever had! The bacon was cooked perfectly, not burnt to a crisp or rubbery, it was just right! Hubby’s skillet was so big he couldn’t even finish it, that never happens! He said it was delicious! Our server was perfectly attentive, very friendly and even took time to let me share some pics of my grandkids with her!! It was definitely the perfect way to start our day!

Passed on the hotel’s free breakfast and opted for something different. The 7 Lazy S Cafe’s Thermopolis Omelette hit the right note. The food, service, and atmosphere was great. So glad to see this open in the old Sideboard Cafe building

Awesome little bar, with a wonderful atmosphere and even better food! I had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, and the missus had a Mushroom and Swiss burger. Both were amazing, and both the regular fries and sweet potato fries were delicious! Our waiter was very kind, and I really appreciated his kindness and time!
