Hidden gem in Covington, Virginia!
After so many American restaurants we visited we were driving from one town to the other and we saw Mexican and we went to eat lunch with the our eyes closed.
Started our lunch with a Modelo or Dos Equis Negra as that was the only dark beer they had available.
Appetizers:
• Guacamole & Chips is always a must have! For a tiny town here in Virginia it was amazing! Made to perfection and chips were homemade for sure!
Entrée:
• 4 Carne Asada tacos with an extra side of Guacamole and lots of lime. Don’t be fooled I thought they were mini tacos and nope they were huge! Authentic as if you were walking the street’s of Mexico DF.
Our waitress was such a sweet young lady! Made us feel at home!
Highly Recommended!

The absolute BEST Mexican food I’ve ever had. Im 60 I’ve had plenty of copy cat restaurants. This is authentic and the attention to true flavor is unmistakable! You must try this place. The service was superb! Made our entire trip the hot springs Virginia so worth it!

The food was very delicious and fast to come out. We came when there was a $5 margarita special and they were surprisingly huge and very delicious. The fried icecream was amazing especially if you love cinnamon. I really liked the shrimp dishes because it really tasted grilled. It’s a beautiful place with nice staff and a good atmosphere.

The service was excellent. My husband and I each got an assortment of tacos with rice and beans on the side. The food was delicious, everything had great flavor. If you’re in town you should absolutely stop by!

Excellent food at great prices. I’m always amazed how the best Mexican food is found in small town locations like these. Ample street parking (but we went on a Sunday). Staff was very nice and provided excellent service. Great vegetarian options and dedicated section of menu. Food was tasty. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Came across Casa De Leones Mexican Grill in an internet search looking for a place for dinner. Besides the great food reviews having are full bar sold us. Margarita was freshly made and huge. The food was excellent and very authentic and prices were very reasonable. Everything is made from scratch and properly prepared. Service top notch. You can believe the reviews on Google. Truly a hidden gem in downtown Covington. My only lament is we are only here for one night.

I’ve haven’t had real deal Mexican food since we were in Texas along the border. Who knew I’d find the one of the best in the mountains of Covington Virginia.
It’s a easy access from interstate 64 in Covington on a cute old town Main street.
Great Daily specials on food, unique delish drinks and very reasonable food prices.
Definitely should be one of your regular stops

Food was very good. I got the Quesadilla Mexicana and my friend ordered the fajitas, which she said was very good as well, also ordered desert and got the Sopapillas with ice cream and it was delicious and she got the Chimi Cheesecake and she loved it! I would recommend this eatery to anyone in the area looking for good Mexican food….

While the food was available quickly for take out my order was messed up. There’s cubed meat in the tamales I’ve never seen anything other than shredded meat. Instead of adding my shrimp with garlic sauce meal the girl added shrimp with garlic sauce to my husband’s fajitas Texanas. The guacamole is old. If I could give 0 stars for a 100 plus dollar meal I would. This is the worst meal I’ve ever spent money on. Also it’s my birthday meal and I got no meal because of her mistake except one tamale that is less than desired.
