MJ’s is a staple on Swan Lake! We come out every year for two weeks and MJ’s is one of our traditions! We love taking the boat to go eat dinner and have some drinks with family and friends at MJ’s. The food is great, the servers are always super helpful, fast and efficient. There’s lots of fun to be had for the kids and adults alike, with the volleyball pit, corn hole boards and other bar and grill type games. MJ’s is guaranteed to be a great time for everyone.

The owners here are great people. Greeted us with a warm welcome and checked in with us our entire stay. The bar and grill has excellent food. We had their fish fry and it was amazing and super affordable!
The cabin we stayed in was clean, felt very homey and has decorated in cool vintage fishing things. Being a fisherman, that was cool to see.
My stay here was in the winter months but can’t wait to check it out in the summer as well. It’s nestled in the woods and is very pretty!

Came here to watch the game and have a bite to eat. I had a jalapeño burger and fries – DELICIOUS! Our waitress, Renee, was friendly and seemed to know exactly when to stop by our table. The owner, Jan, stopped by to welcome us and make sure everything was good. Two thumbs up for food, service and atmosphere.

We went to eat here for Father’s day at my partners request as he heard good things. In the end we couldn’t get what we ordered because they were out, it was extremely noisy and we waited over an hour for our food. I wasn’t very impressed but would go again to see if may be it was a bad night.

June 15th 2025 was my first time at MJ’s. We arrived a few minutes after 6pm with a reserved table for 5. At approximately 6:15 we ordered our food. At approximately 6:30 I was told that out the 2 burgers we had ordered in our group, they only had enough to make 1. I gave up my whiskey burger special so my son could have his cheeseburger. I was able to get a whisky chicken sandwich. We finally received our food around 7pm. 2 people in our group who ordered dinners didn’t receive their salads until they had asked for them after their food arrived. My whiskey chicken sandwich definitely could have had more whiskey sauce. It just tasted like a grilled chicken and cheese sandwich. It was good but not what I was expecting. At the end they gave us free cupcakes for Father’s Day which was nice.

Great place to bring your family. The food was amazing the waitress was very attentive. Everyone there either said hi or waved, or even just a head nod. We were going to eat outside but the bugs were bad so decided to move inside. Bigger group of us (8) in total and she was very quick to set up our tables. All in all it was one of the best experiences I have had. Beautiful view over the lake. Definitely will be back.
