This is exactly the kind of breakfast and lunch spot that keeps you coming back! Delicious food and super friendly staff.

Their popovers are the star: light, airy, perfectly golden, with that crisp exterior and soft, buttery center. The stuffed steak and cheese popover is a must-order and packed with flavor in every bite.

The house-made corned beef hash is delicious and clearly made with care. I also loved the loaded breakfast bowl complete with crispy potatoes topped with an egg, onions and peppers, melted cheese, guacamole, and sour cream.

Honestly we were all so full and satisfied when we left. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. They respected i am vegan and didnt judge. They made a vegan waffle and sandwich that made my day amazing. Even flavor was perfect. My crew all got something different and we were all completely happy thanks so much for an amazing breakfast

My daughter and I stopped by this breakfast spot in Mystic for the first time, and it was such a charming experience. The space is small but cozy — perfect for a relaxed morning. The menu was full of fun, unexpected combos.

We tried one of their weekly specials and something in a skillet — both were tasty and different in a good way. I’m already planning to go back and explore more!

Definitely recommend if you’re into creative breakfast options and a warm, intimate atmosphere.

A lot of vegan options with other menu items customizable to vegan! I got the Trendy Vegan. Yummers. Staff super nice and friendly. Good atmosphere, casual, kids friendly. Small parking lot but there’s a lot of street parking.

My mom and I were so excited to try this place because we’ve loved popovers since having them at the Jordan Pond House in Acadia National Park. The wait was around 20 minutes and there’s no room to wait inside. They do text you when the table is almost ready so you can walk around. My mom a popover with cheesy eggs, I got an eggs Benedict version. We also ordered a k pop to share. When our food arrived, it was completely cold. Not lukewarm or room temp, but cold. The cheese on my mom’s meal wasn’t even melted. My bacon and poached eggs seemed like they’d been sitting around. We asked our server to get a manager we could speak to. Our server didn’t seem pleased about it. The manager admitted they were having kitchen issues and offered to bring us something else. I took a new order of potatoes and some plain scrambled eggs because I was starving and we had other plans for the rest of the day. No one ever refilled our beverages. The table next to us received popovers that were steaming hot when they opened them so I don’t know what was going on. Serving eggs and breakfast meats that have been cooked and left to sit out seems dangerous from a food safety standpoint. And if the manager knew the kitchen was having issues, why wasn’t she doing some quality control? The one good thing is we weren’t charged for our meal and we didn’t need to ask for this to happen. It only makes sense because the food was not edible. I feel the cute space and innovative restaurant idea will get tourists in. I personally would not eat here again nor recommend it.

The food here is consistently delicious and fresh. From the French toast and bacon, to the big breakfast plates with poached eggs and home fries, and even lighter options like avocado toast with feta and tomato — everything we tried was spot on. Portion sizes are generous and beautifully done for a brunch spot.

The first visit had amazing service, really attentive and welcoming, but on a return trip it was a bit more average. We also had to wait around 30 minutes for a table, which seems common here since it’s clearly a very popular spot.

That said, the food makes it worth the wait. If you’re in Mystic and don’t mind a short line, this is one of the best places for a hearty, high-quality breakfast or brunch

Amazing Experience for a Celiac Family! Passing through Mystic while traveling and found PopOver Eatery through the celiac app we use as a vetted restaurant. They have a delicious brunch menu and everyone in our family found the food to be top notch! From a celiac viewpoint, all of the staff understand the need for gluten free and cross contamination concerns. They offer a very safe gluten free dining experience and we’re beyond accommodating with our family! I even heard our wait staff when talking to other tables and being mindful with all customers about asking for any allergy/dietary needs.

The food was so yummy that the to go boxes we left with were eaten in the car!! Highly recommend to anyone and especially people who have food concerns.

As someone who’s dairy free, I normally don’t have many options at restaurants that aren’t vegan! This place offers gluten, dairy free and vegan meals. Both of our meals were delicious, good portions, and the staff is super friendly.

Pop overs are the thing to try. Just about anything you want. Whether it be savory or sweet, there are tons of options. A pop over is a shell that is made of flour and egg and they stuff it was just about anything you want. My wife had a traditional plain one with honey butter. I had the chicken pop pie. If you’re a Mystic, you need to check this place out.

Portions were on the smaller side for an $18 plate. I’ve gotten more flavor and bigger portions for less at other local places. My eggs and potatoes were extremely bland. No seasoning at all it seemed. Either the eggs or the ketchup tasted as if they were freezer-burned/poorly stored. I honestly couldn’t tell which it was. The gluten free English muffin was absolutely delicious. Probably the best gluten free English muffin I’ve had. My brother ordered the chicken and waffles and he was satisfied with no complaints. The server was so sweet and attentive. Very bubbly and genuinely in a great mood. I went and looked at the discounted day old baked goods and the 3 items that were there were riddled with mold. This was our 2nd time visiting and only my first time being somewhat disappointed, so I would be open to trying them again.
