The food was delicious, I really loved it. The service was first class, all super friendly and attentive to what we needed. I really liked that the place was so clean. This is our new favorite place!! You really can’t go wrong with anything you select from the menu!! Heidi is consistently wonderful!!! This is just the perfect place to relax and enjoy the fabulous food and service. The entire staff is really attentive….what a great experience!!

The potato skins were huge and homemade, topped with lots of bacon cooked to perfection!! The mashed potatoes were perfect and definitely a great option if you are there before 4pm when baked potatoes are available!!!She recommended some great food!! Definately order the BAKLAVA!!! They have a Sunday brunch as well.

Th is place is only two days in and it is the best place I have ever been to and they welcom you to a nice chill eating area and the food is out of this world like the dill pickle cheese curds and the garlic butter is soooo good. Benny’s restaurant in Matton is my new favorite place to eat. Excellent service, great atmosphere and the food is fantastic. The portions are huge, you better come hungry. I started with the dill pickle cheese curds, yummy! Main entree was fried chicken. OMG! The best I have ever had!

Wanted to try the new place because I had seen the menu and it looked good. We were sat rather quickly. However, it took forever for our waitress to come introduce herself and take our order. My husband asked for gravy on his meat along with his potatoes. No gravy and there were mushroom and onions on it instead. I ordered a steak with baked potato, salad, broccoli. I got mixed veggies instead. Finally got broccoli and it was mush. Potato was burned at the skin and salad was brown and wilted. The hamburger steak was dry and the potatoes were cold and hard. We waited for a long while to get our ticket after we had asked for a to go box for our cheese curds. Now those were good. And when she finally brought the receipt to sign, the waitress stood at the table, very much in my space while I put my card back in my purse to wait for me to sign the receipt. Another waitress actually came to our table and told us that we should come back in a month, when they have it together. Um, no thanks. I did snap some photos but for some reason, there is not a space in the post.

Great Service! Great Food! A great addition to Mattoon restaurants. The bar tender Shantha was amazing too! I wish I would have taken a picture of our food. Wait time was really wasn’t bad during busy dinner time.
