Nice first visit to this restaurant. It’s not a large restaurant, but larger than appears from the front. Lunch specials during the week available. Many Italian choices and pizza. Wraps, paninis, and hamburgers available. Went with a large party and served fairly quickly. The chicken parmigiana meal was the last to be served, which was surprising. Fair prices. Dinner plates above $29 price range, with salad. Tuscany salad tasty. The balsamic was a little heavy, but the peppers, mozzarella, and mushroom slices added to it. Each dish is just the right amount per serving. Not too much, not too little. Would recommend and visit again.

After my previous not-so-good review, I decided to give this place a chance again after not coming back for over a year, and I’m glad I did because they are back to my standards. I had a great dine-in experience, and my MIL loved her food which is great! The portions were bigger than they used to be when I would order takeout, and the taste was much better than in the past. I am very satisfied now. As always, the people that work here are friendly and the atmosphere is wonderful.

We went to Ella New York Pizza & Pasta for my dad’s birthday and we had a nice time celebrating with great food and good service. The space itself felt relatively home-y which was nice, for sure. I myself had the Waldorf Chicken Salad with salmon as well and it was the perfect portion with a good ratio of protein to greens! I will definitely be coming back!

Ella is a mainstay in the town of New City. The ambiance reminds me of an Italian cafe far, far away. I was introduced to Ella years ago which I had lunch with a friend. I have zero complaints. Ella is a beautiful experience. The bread is fresh and quite tasty. The green salad is also a highlight. The pasta entree is soft, tender, and delicious. I will continue to frequent Ella and her relaxed charm. Thanks again.

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years—possibly over a decade (I honestly can’t remember when they opened!). It’s one of our absolute favorite spots in New City.
The service is always pleasant and attentive. Food comes out quickly, but never feels rushed. I’ve yet to have a bad meal here, and on the rare occasion something isn’t quite what you expected, they’re quick to accommodate with a smile.
We went again last night and had the white pizza with sausage and mushrooms—it was, once again, amazing. I’d say we’ll be back, but that goes without saying. We eat here at least once or twice a month.
Highly recommended!

Nice little restaurant in this Rockland town.
The server was very nice and on it for dinner. We had the Pasta Fagioli, Tusan Salad, Fried Calamari, and a Cheese pizza. pie.
Soup was ok with a little too thin for me.
Calamari was not the freshest, but the salad and pizza were good. Salad had mushrooms and mozzarella and tomatoes with let and a balsamic drizzle.
The NY plzza had a crisp but thin crust, and the sauce was nicely done. I would have liked it a little bit thicker bit it was good.

Tonight we ordered the dinner specials. I ordered the chicken dish and my wife had the Branzini. Both plates were delicious and lets not forget the tiramisu desert. The food and service are great every time we visit. Nice job Ella’s!!!

My family and I got takeout last week and my dinner was atrocious. I got the penne alla Ella which has sautéed chicken, artichokes, sundried tomatoes. The chicken was terrible. Had no taste at all. It was like grilled chicken that would be served in a deli grilled chicken sandwich but the chicken was cut up smaller to make it seem it was sautéed chicken. However they did the chicken, it tasted awful, was dry, and not fit for a sautéed pasta dish. Another issue was the gluten free penne which is clearly the lowest grade gluten free brand. Why are you charging extra for the worst GF penne that has no texture and is as soft as cake? But the gf penne I wouldn’t have had much of a problem with if the chicken was at least good since most Italian restaurants use low grade gf pasta. The chicken was that bad
