I’ve lived in the island for four years and this restaurant serves authentic and DELICIOUS Hawaiian food. We got the BBQ chicken, katsu curry and lumpia. Personally, this was my favorite restaurant during my vacation in Pensacola.

I love that the owner of the restaurant grew up in Hawaii, moved to Florida to work in the military, raised his family here and opened up this restaurant to share the food from his home. This I learned from his daughter who was working the cashier and served us our food.

Food was good, some things better than others. I prefer a bit more flavor but it wasn’t bad at all. For the price, I’ve gotten more elsewhere.
The place is kinda out there, don’t know how they get business. Very clean and spacious.
Service was amazing, the young girl at the counter was very courteous and friendly explaining the whole menu .

Finally made it to Kalai’s kitchen today. I’ve lost interest in purchasing food at restaurants due to decline in quality and quantity and increase in cost.
I ordered the bbq chicken plate and it is amazing! And I have enough food leftover that I’ll be eating tomorrow. None of the heavy processed and greasy nonsense.
All 3 meals we ordered were excellent!
If we can make it out that way again when they are open we’ll surely be stopping in.
They have a dining room, but they said most people call ahead and pickup to go. It’s a super easy stop when heading from Ft Walton to Navarre. Definitely check it out when you have a chance.

Great place to stop and grab lunch, I got the chicken katsu and it was delicious! The pasta and spicy pickles were also great sides, cold and refreshing paired with the warm chicken and rice. The service was also outstanding, they made sure to accommodate for my allergies. I’ll have to come back and try something else on the menu.

I got the Kalbi Short Ribs and Chicken Katsu (regular size). Good food, sizable portion, and tastes fresh.

Service is good and staff are friendly. I went during lunch and got my food in about 10minutes. Inside very clean, spacious, and cool decorative touch.

Food was excellent, I had the salmon, the spicy cucumbers (not spicy at all), the macaroni salad and a portion of white rice that could have fed my entire family
I almost wrote my review as I was eating because it was so good. The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The lumpia deserves a special mention, top 3 I had in my life and I eat lots of it. I haven’t had Hawaiian food since I visited Hawaii in 2015, I just haven’t found a place I was willing to try until today. I am so glad I remembered to try to this place. I am just disappointed I haven’t stopped before.
I attached a copy of the current menu. I can’t wait to try the breakfast with the kids!

I finally went down here for lunch. Katsu curry was really good! Mac salad is bland but the cucumber kimchi was good. The portion seems good and fair for the price. I want to come back to try other items on the menu, especially the bbq items. It’s nice to see a Hawaiian food place in the area for sure. The decor inside is new/simple modern and welcoming.

On a separate note, I paid for a lihing pineapple cup and didn’t come with my order. That was a bummer!!!! I did pay for it additionally at the front, I wonder if I forgot to grab it? Nonetheless the cashier didn’t even let me know and it was my first time going there. Also a minor thing but their tap does not work. My first impression of the food is good but the customer service not so much.

Great family and locally owned restaurant with awesome local kine eats. The service was great and the food is amazing. The owners and their kids who all help run the restaurant are super friendly. We ordered the BBQ and Mochiko chicken and they were delicious. Go on an empty stomach…the portions are huge! Definitely worth the money. Now you can stop reading this and go support local business

Loved my 3 meat plate. Finger licking good. I had to go back a few days later to get some more smoked pulled pork. Nice family owned business and friendly staff. Love they increased their hours to include dinner.
