I’m from NYC and weirdly, sandwiches are my #1 favorite food. The Le Pilgrim was quite possibly the best sandwich I’ve had in my life. My partner tried both the crab cake grilled cheese and the French dip and said they were amazing, but he agreed Le Pilgrim is the real standout.

I ate in the restaurant and then I had to come back a few days later to get it as a takeout order to eat on my Amtrak ride back home. It was equally delicious both times.

There are 2 main reasons Le Pilgrim is a masterpiece. First, of course the taste – it just has the perfect ratio of the best Thanksgiving ingredients. In my partner’s words, “it’s better than Thanksgiving.”

Second, the eating experience is shockingly clean for such a robust sandwich, and that just adds to the delight of it. When you eat it, it somehow stays quite compact and not a single ingredient will fall out onto the plate.

You might also expect it to be messy because of the gravy dip. But they actually mastered the consistency of the gravy. You can and should dip every bite in the delicious gravy, but the integrity of the bread remains and it doesn’t leave any mess at all.

I will dream about this sandwich until I can come back to the DMV…

Full On food really delivered on taste and quality. Our server was amazing. The onion ring dipping sauce was like no other. My roast beef sandwich with a side of Au Jus sauce was delicious.

On the hunt for the best chicken caesar wrap. Hidden on menu under salads – chicken ceasar salad (can be ordered as a wrap)

Three options: grilled, fried, or blackened

I chose blackened. It was pretty good

So damn good. We showed up with a party of 6, and they got us settled after a bit of a wait, the current spot is tiny, can’t wait for the new larger location. Sandwiches are amazing. The Onion rings? Just wow. Homemade chips? I ate sooo many. I had the Ham and Egger, it was great. The Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich was insanely good when I had a bite of my tablemate’s. The French Onion soup looked good. Great selection of beers.

Full On is a delightful local restaurant that specializes in craft food and drinks, offering a cozy yet lively atmosphere. Despite its smaller size, the space is well-utilized, with seating available for both intimate gatherings and slightly larger parties. There is also a small bar tucked in the back that provides a great spot to enjoy as well.

Our meal began with an order of onion rings, a standout appetizer that exemplifies the restaurant’s commitment to quality. Hand-battered and fried to order, they arrived hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. For our main courses, we sampled the Reuben sandwich, the French dip, and the meatloaf sandwich. Each was served with house-made chips and a dipping sauce that complemented the sandwiches beautifully. The freshness of the ingredients was unmistakable and supports their promise of made-to-order entrées.

The service was both friendly and efficient, even with the restaurant bustling throughout our visit. The steady flow of both dine-in guests and takeout orders was a testament to the restaurant’s popularity. Despite the limited parking and compact dining area, the overall experience was great.

I would certainly recommend Full On to anyone seeking a unique yet reliably fresh take on classic sandwiches. With its inviting atmosphere, expertly crafted food, great drink selection, and attentive service, it’s a spot I look forward to revisiting to explore more of the menu.

The food here is excellent and they have a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads that all seem worth trying. The turkey is good and the club and avocado turkey sandwiches were both excellent. For soups, they have a good french onion soup and all meals come with either chips or onion rings, both of which were made well. The beer and cocktail selection is good as well. They also have a decent kids menu with chicken tenders and grilled cheese platters. I recommend this as a good lunch spot or dinner. They have a nice smaller indoor seating area with some outdoor patio tables and the service was excellent. They also have take out.

So very impressed with this place. We saw it from the road and a quick look at the reviews drew us in. The staff was friendly and attentive. We were amazed at how well staffed they were and I guess that’s why the hospitality was impeccable. We ordered the chips and dip, shared a roast beef and horseradish sandwich with onion rings upgrade. We were pleasantly surprised that the sandwich came in 2 separate baskets with a nice amount of onion rings instead of us getting a side plate and having split it ourselves. The onion rings were perfectly seasoned, crispy and warm. The sandwich was tasty and the beef quite tender, I really thought that it was going to be chewy. I also loved how they seemed to be environmentally conscious: the baskets had a piece of baker’s paper as a liner and the take out box was waxed cardboard instead of plastic. We’ll definitely go back to support this amazing business.

Full on craft is the best sandwich shop in the greater Rockville area hands down. Excellent service, friendly staff, efficient online and in person ordering, and of course amazing food. If the homemade chips aren’t enough to convince you to go, hopefully the unique sandwich menu with a combination of classics and innovative ideas will win you over. We’ve had more than half the menu and everything is great. Favorite is the salmon sandwich for a lighter option and the French dip sandwich for a warmer heartier option. Soups are great too. Sandwich and soup will cost you ~18-25 pp but the actual quality of the proteins and bread is 100% worth it. Our only complaint is the horrific “plaza” configuration / parking lot which isn’t their fault at all but it does probably drive away eat-in business. SO happy to hear they are moving to a area with decent parking!

This is the best sandwich restaurant I have ever been to. The food is very high quality and perfectly made. The chips and dipping sauce are amazing. Once you’ve had their club sandwich, no other club sandwich is good enough. Highly recommend.
