I live 40 miles west, and this is pretty much the closest Chinese food for me.
I like Great Wall. You get to see the food being prepared right behind the counter (so you know it’s freshly fried), and the ladies are always friendly.
I think the stand-out is the portion size for the price. It is generous (by today’s standards). Many places have DEFINITELY reduced what they give you to pad the bottom line, but not so at Great Wall. $50 gets you a HEAVY bag of food.
And the food is good. I have never had any problems. Well, one thing I wish they would do is to dismantle the TRULY AWFUL relic of 2020 — a tall plastic partition with a TINY access hole at the payment counter. It’s both an eyesore, and makes the entire transaction unpleasant. Let’s hope they get rid of it . . . SOON! In the meantime, just “walk around the side” and talk to the lady face-to-face so you can hear each other!
But that’s my only gripe.
They are very good at getting orders correct, and the food is always hot and appetizing (well, not quite so hot after driving home 40 miles, but that is my own making of a problem) 🙂

Last time I visited, their AC was out so it was hot while waiting on the food m one thing to note when ordering from her is never done in. It’s you small for that but also it’s hot and you leave smalling like you’ve been cooking all day.

Ordered 3 shrimp egg rolls, not 1 but 3 and only got 1 other 2 were regular and the 1 was kinda hard on inside, maybe old not sure. On top of that the 1 shrimp egg roll only had 1 shrimp, . Food was decent and this was my 1st time trying this place out, ot satisfied. I don’t mind paying but please make sure I get what I’m paying for. Quality over quantity, I’m a business owner also.

I wish that I could have posted pics but didn’t do so in the moment. My family & I used to love this place…until one evening we came & say an adult roach crawling on the floor. Not a TX tree roach, a roach, roach. Disgusted & sick ain’t even the word. Everything I thought was good was thrown out the window in that moment.

This is my go to Chinese take-out place. The workers may seem stand-offish and rushed but that just adds to the ambience. It is places like these with the no-nonsense customer service where you know that the food is gonna be good. And it is. Their food is amazing and you really get a good portion. Definitely a bang for your buck. I have been loyal to them and will continue to stay loyal.

Slow service, and dirty restaurant.
Food was ok. Crab Rangoons were the best and super good though! Chicken was not cooked well and very small portions compared to most restaurants I’ve been too. Rice tasted like the frozen rice I get at Walmart. All in all, it was ok. But I doubt I’d go back unless it was the only place open.
