First time visit. Bar atmosphere inside was quaint and intimate feeling. The gentleman host inside was courteous and helpful…and had great nails.
The outside brick patio was ok. The outside waitress didn’t once ask if we needed anything but perhaps she thought she didn’t need to since I went inside to order after sitting down with my kids. I was ok with it but she could’ve asked if we wanted a menu or water or something when the 4 of us sat down trying to decide what we were doing.

The sauce on the garlic knots was delicious!!! Pleasantly surprised how good it was for a snack.
The eggplant rollatini (sp?) was good as well.

The boys ate the cheese pizza before I could try it but that’s an endorsement to me. lol

I’ll go back just to see how different it is from a Saturday afternoon with the kiddos.

My wife and I went to Red rocks pizza and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere is an old brick building with a small bar and tables for the restaurant. In the picture is a fennel salad with orange slices and walnuts which my wife loved, and there are also garlic knots which were crunchy but soft with great marinara sauce. The pizzas were also excellent but thin crust. I like thick crust generally but these were good thin crust pizzas. Very chewy dough, and the toppings were excellent. We will definitely go again.

Tonight I had the opportunity to try a Red Rocks Staple, their Italian Style Ice Cream! What a treat it was…. I do have to say, it was a Gelato chocolate! Maybe next time I will order it without the chocolate syrup!! Anyway, one of my favorite ice creams in the city!

While waiting for my treat I enjoyed a crisp draft beer served by a very nice man named Frank tending bar… 5/5

Maybe we went on an off day but- I was not at all impressed with this place. I ordered the bianchi pizza and it was thick, chewy, and tasted like a smoked provolone as opposed to the buffalo mozz that was advertised. Crust was thick and unremarkable. We nicknamed it Cheese Stick Pizza. My husband’s margarita pie was quite good, thin, and crispy. The two pies felt like they were from two different restaurants. I would try this place again and stick to red pies- will update this review if the time comes.

Best pizza spot in dc!
Great, dependable mid-priced pizza. Lots of great specialty pies on the menu.
There’s tons of seating so always room without a reservation. In the summer, great patio that’s generally full and cozy. Good beer selection.

I used to go here and it was pretty good – decent neopolitan pizza and a nice relaxed atmosphere.

I came back after not visiting for a while and it was fast food kids pizza. Dough is ok, but underbaked with way too much low quality cheese. Edible but a pretty poor product not acceptable for a major metropolitan area.

Hope you are able to reverse course because it was a nice place to have in the neighborhood.

I stopped by there on the way home tonight from shopping at the local supermarket and figured I would pick up a nice pizza on the way home .
They have great prices for great quality pizza ,eat in or the out and delivery .
They do what i always suggest any business owner i now do .
They keep it simple and don’t try to do too much .
The menu is enough to select form and not too much to try to do too much .
What’s left ??? Is them perfecting what they have chosen to do …which is to say make a great pizza .
When i stopped by to wait for my order to finish as I had ordered ahead of time by phone , I waited in the small front entryway as I was carrying two bags of groceries home .
While I waited i noticed a nice solid crowd of people enjoying the night having great food and a few drinks while playing trivia night .I played to myself answering questions in my head and enjoyed the vibe .
I will hav hot go there one night to get more involved in the evenings events ,it looked like a lot of fun .

Went for brunch with my parents and boyfriend- great experience! I got the buongiorno pizza and it was delicious! My moms avocado toast was beautiful and she enjoyed it. My dad got the red rocks hash breakfast and he also enjoyed.
Our server was great – knowledgeable about the menu and lovely.
Note: there is a 20% service charge auto added, which is very common now but just for awareness. Our server informed us of this charge.
Will definitely be back, recommend!

Swung by for lunch and WAS NOT dissapointed! The old wood and exposed brick interior us classically hip, and the food is surprisingly sophisticated. I got a lunch special (pepperoni pizza, ceaser salad and a beer for $25), and it was perfect. The Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve had in the city; the pizza slapped: the crust was perfect, the pepperoni was thick-cut, and the cheese was plentiful. The service was top notch and the beer paired perfectly with the pie. Thanks Red Rocks!

Staff were very friendly and there was a cozy atmosphere inside. The eggplant rollatini was delicious and a good portion for an appetizer and the sausage pizza was a good mix of sweet and spicy. Lovely place, can’t wait to come back!!
