Good plates has been on our to-do list for quite some time now, and we finally got around to visiting today.
The good:
-Smash burger, burger/fry sauce, and braised beef sandwich were all very, very good. I will be thinking about that braised beef for quite a while.
-Waitress was very sweet and personable.
-Reasonable prices
The bad:
-Very hot and uncomfortable inside. No AC and tons of fans everywhere. It was tolerable but hardly enjoyable. On a 90 degree day it actually felt good to go outside.
-Very loud inside due to said fans, people trying to talk over the fans, and also because of having the front door open to the craziness of McMillan.
-Understaffed. Waitress trying to do way too much by herself.
-The fries weren’t very good. I appreciate they are homemade but the texture and flavor is off. The poutine fries were NOT GOOD. This dish needs some serious recalibration. I couldn’t come up with a compliment for this dish.
-No lights were on in the dining area. Very strange.
-From review of the photos online this place looks trendy and like a place I would enjoy dining in. Hard to explain, but it didn’t live up to the photos IMO. A likely contributor was the lack of light.

Loved this place feels posh and upscale with a great vibe and very reasonably priced. You must try the Garlic n Herb fresh cut fries as they were some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The burger was great as well. Plus not many places you can get Poutine outside of Canada. Try theirs you’re sure to like it especially with the cheese curds. Staff were overly friendly and helpful making the vibe that much more awesome. If you’re nearby you must stop in and try the food. Traveling through from Texas I was super glad I found this place.

Update :
On my last visit, the tables, tumblers, and water bottle were dirty. The food was delicious, though. However, all the dirty items make me wonder about the hygiene in the kitchen.

This is such a cute restaurant. It is decorated beautifully. The staff is super nice and attentive. I ordered the Huckleberry Lemonade and the White Peach Lemonade ($2 w/free refills). I think my favorite was the White Peach but they were both good! I also got the Buffalo Chicken Wings($9) which was delicious. They are not super crispy but really tasty. The prices were really great for the amount of food you got! I will definitely be back 🙂

I have no idea what magic they are doing back in the kitchen but an ordinary ham and swiss sandwich turned into a gastronomic delight. I always ask for extra mayo and other stuff cos I find my sandwiches dry wherever I go, but not here. Firstly, the bread is incredible, crunchy but melt in your mouth crust and super tasty. The ham, onion jam, pickle, swiss cheese, etc, was so good that I did not touch the extra mayo and onion jam I ordered on the side. Will definitely come back here again and again! Very reasonable prices for what you get as well.

Ripping the bandaid off by saying I didn’t enjoy my food and my partner thought his could have been better.
I got the poutine and although it is a truly simple dish as is.. it was bland and the fries were way overcooked. The gravy and cheese curds tasted low quality.
My partner got the brisket sandwich which came with cheese and sauce. Very light on the cheese and sauce which left him with mostly just a meat and bread sandwich.
Not terrible but with a little more thoughtfulness, it could have been great food.
Service was a little slow but friendly.
Atmosphere was quaint and welcoming.
4/10 overall. I would 100% give a second chance and try ordering something different. Just not the poutine

Tried this place after seeing it mentioned on Facebook. The food was fantastic. The chicken sandwich is meant to be a Friday night special but they were kind enough to make it for us. It was insanely good! The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, and the sauce was delicious. I also got the poutine and opted to add the beef brisket – SOOOO worth it. Definitely recommend trying this place out. Rounded out the meal with a fruity pebbles rice krispy treat.

The cutest little place for healthy, delicious food! My table got the brussel and shroom quinoa bowl, Mediterranean quinoa bowl, and adobo brisket and cheese sandwich, and everything was scrumptious. Prices are reasonable, food came out hot and quick, and the service is friendly! 5 stars all the way.

Tasty food, low prices, friendly service, and convenient campus location. Clever Halloween decorations. We went there for dinner before a Friday evening Bearcats FB game. It is perhaps a block or two further from the stadium than some might want to walk, but still easily within 10 minutes, and worth the walk. Clean appealing interior. They have no tap beers, but a very nice and inexpensive array of bottled/canned craft beers. They offer a good selection of wings (very tasty!) and my burger & fries were excellent.

Still an *excellent* choice for a meal, the restaurant was clean, the service fast and cheerful. Still among the best burgers in the area and prices that remain competitive.

Nice little healthy lunch spot by UC. Stopped by with a group for a work lunch and everyone was pretty happy with their meals. A lot of vegetarian and gluten free options, which was great for our group of mixed food restrictions. Our server was very friendly and drinks and food came out quickly and tasted healthy. I tried the southwestern bowl with added chicken. The chicken was tasty but the bowl was pretty basic and could have used more sauce, as it was pretty dry underneath the top toppings. Another coworker got the veggie and quinoa bowl with added chicken and said it was good. The fries were just ok, I probably wouldn’t order them again. The people who got the sandwiches all liked theirs. The cookies and brownies were both good as well.
