To start, warm, sliced bread was brought to our table, of which we accompanied with high quality olive oil, and balsamic vinegar which was provided at the table. To follow, I ordered an appetizer special, a glass of Italian wine recommended by the waiter to pair with my spicy vodka pasta. The recommendation was tremendous and paired smoothly.
The pasta was simply the best pasta I have had the pleasure of having. The rigatoni was soft, but gummy, as authentic rigatoni should be. The sauce was made with wholesome ingredients to taste, and the vodka, as well as the spice, was clear, but not overpowering. Overall the best pasta I have had. The lasagna was equally as impressive. My boyfriend’s face from the moment he took his first bite said it all!
The atmosphere of the restaurant was very cozy and small, and the waiter and men behind the counter were VERY attentive, and kind. We finished off the night with a good sized portion of thick and creamy tiramisu, and still had a good portion of pasta and lasagne remaining to take home, despite being very full.
Prices in comparison to the quality of food with the cultural expertise, is FANTASTIC. Reno is lucky to have a gem like Pasta Fresca! We are looking forward to being back!
But the best part of the experience was definitely the service. If you get a chance, you have to come when Ali is serving. Her warmth and genuine care in your experience stood out! And she’s here on Mondays and Tuesdays! Though, I’m sure the food is outstanding no matter what the day!!
We casually asked if they ever sold their gnocchi to cook at home, and to our surprise, they said no one had ever asked – but of course, yes! They sent us home with two packages, along with some extra cheese and tips on the best way to prepare it. We cooked it the next night, and it was still the best gnocchi we’ve ever had.
The food is phenomenal, but what makes Pasta Fresca truly special is the generosity and heart of the people who run it. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, and you can tell how much pride they take in their craft.
If you want incredible handmade pasta and a reminder of why it’s worth supporting local, look no further. Highly, highly recommend!
The quality of the food was so good – very tasty dishes. Where I have issues is with the quantity of food and the pricing that is given. I normally do not complain about this stuff, but I really felt like I get skimped.
The ravioli was $27 and only came with 6 small ravioli. The vodka pasta was $20 and was just noodles & sauce. If you add protein it will be $30.
While the food is very tasty, you do not get your moneys worth. We had to go get some in n out afterwards to finish filling ourselves up.
The location is also not a super high end spot – it’s just picnic table clothes and chairs, so the ambiance can use work. All of this okay, but at the price point I would expect a nicer atmosphere.
Overall – the food tasted good, but the price does not correlate to what you receive. Crazy high prices for the dishes, so I will probably not be back.
Our whole bill was $76 – two pastas and 1 glass of wine.

Review: a good, little Italian spot for dinner. They do take reservations and asked us if we had any which we did not, so you might want to take that into consideration before choosing this place, but it might not be an issue. Overall, the food was really good & had gluten free options. I thought that the portion sizes were a little small for the price point to be honest, but the quality was definitely pretty darn good. It is a smaller establishment without a large seating area, but definitely enough.
