I was a little put off by the two very large tvs but the menu had sold me when I checked it online. I started with half doz oysters with an orange segment and orange reduction which was absolutely amazing and so different. It was a nice change from the usual oyster dressings. Oysters were nice and fresh too. I had the GF rigatoni positano (barramundi, capers, tomato, chilli). I was expecting a lighter dish but this was very rich in flavour. That didn’t detract from the meal itself though and it was so tasty. I really appreciated that the GF rigatoni is hand made on premise like the other pastas as this is unusual. Staff friendly as well and considering the fresh hand made pasta, the pricing was very reasonable. Recommend

Recently dined at Oro based on recommendations. We had heard it had recently opened and served good Italian food.

It is conveniently located amongst the other restaurants along surf parade.

We had booked an early dinner and were seated quickly inside. It is a large restaurant with lots of table options.

The staff were attentive and took our drink orders, with us choosing Margaritas- a classic and a spicy. The drinks were cold and good.

For entree we shared a steak tartare, which we thought an unusual thing to see on the menu but can highly recommend. The meat was seasoned well, and it had a quail egg which added to the flavour. We added extra crostini instead of ordering garlic bread.

For mains we had spaghetti carbonara and beef cheek lasagna. The lasagna was a stand out dish. The meat rich and delicious and left you wanting more.

The carbonara also good, creamy with lots of pancetta.

Overall we were very pleased with our meals and can recommend dining here.

Waiters were extremely kind and had a lot of knowledge of what they were talking about when it came to the food and Italy. Only note is one waitress seemed a little nervous but she was still very professional. The food was delicious, everyone in my family adored it. Portion sizes were fairly large, we definitely werent hungry, for reference we spilt 3 entrée between 5 of us and all got our own main. I highly recommend and would come again.

Meals were beautifully presented, and we were well attended to. The team are still embedding and learning their trade but no complaints. We tried the Morton Bay Bugs, Octopus and King prawns for entree, upping the quantities for our group. I then had the tiger prawn risotto for a main. Risotto was cooked to perfection and had great flavour. Wine list seemed comprehensive and complimentary to the meals. Just what I would expect for a fine establishment.

Really enjoyed our dinner – steak tartare and burrata for entree; then prawn risotto and lasagna. Would recommend and come back

Absolutely the best Italian food I’ve had in Australia, after travelling through the main cities. Their gnocchi is the highest quality handmade gnocchi, soft and fluffy, just like my grandma used to make. I had the gnocchi d’agnello (lamb shank) and it was amazing with the perfectly cooked lamb meat.
Friendly staff and lively atmosphere on the main nightlife street in Broadbeach.
Highly recommended!

Went there with my grandkids. Ordered 2 GF pasta and 1 normal pasta with bolognese sauce and was charged $22 each plate plus extra $5 each plate for GF then another $5 for CUSTOM ORDER????
Food was below any STANDARD ITALIAN restaurant as my Marinara pasta was overcooked and very little sea food. Definitely not worth the $45 I paid.
Veal with a large bone…that was not Veal for $45…
As an Italian Australian I was extremely disappointed with quality of food.
