The food is excellent. Every single dish was freshly cooked, well seasoned and not overly salted. The dining area is air conditioned but it was a bit weak on that day, however the fans helped to circulate the air which didn’t leave us uncomfortable. If the temperatures are mild and so humid you can enjoy dining in their outdoor balcony with overhead fans.
Main courses took a little wait and came in one by one but I wouldn’t say the wait was too long. As it was cooked fresh in the kitchen I didn’t mind the wait. We had appetizers and drinks on the ready and was not left hungry.
Parking space is small as it’s sharing with a hotel.

It’s hard to believe they’re just 15 minutes away, and I waited years to visit! Finally, a gem of a restaurant in the east!
The restaurant was spotless, and the service was warm and inviting. Every Thai dish was a perfect 10 out of 10—flavorful, beautifully presented, and authentically crafted. I highly recommend trying ALL the Thai appetizers, and don’t miss the classic Thai fried rice with shrimp either!
This was my first time trying Thai food, and I can confidently say it might just be better than Chinese—they may have won me over!
The outdoor ambiance, with soft music and charming lighting, made the meal even more enjoyable. Ps: there were no bugs either!
Hands down, one of my best dining experiences in Trinidad and Tobago. I’ll definitely be back to try their Indian menu soon!

Delicious food with generous portions of seafood and chicken found in the rice, sides and soup. The menu has both Thai and Indian cuisine and my family enjoyed the experience. They usually default to Indian food when we’re out, so I ordered these Thai dishes for them to experiment with and they enjoyed it: Spicy calamari, pineapple Fried Rice, Tom Yum Friend Rice, stir fried Eggplant, Cashew Salad, Steamed Fish and a Lamb dish (from the Indian section).
The prices are market comparative and all meats are said to be Halal. One point to note, not all the items on the menu were available for dinner like Tom Yum Soup and they ran out of chai ingredients which was disappointing but not a deal breaker. Also, the exterior of the building is a bit unassuming from the road. If you’re a Thai food lover or someone looking to try new dishes, the decor here is ‘on brand’ with south east asian restaurants i.e don’t expect a fancy place but it is very clean and chairs are comfortable. The food is what they focus on.

My experience at Chhai Thai was absolutely lovely. The most outstanding was the service rendered to us – Excellent! Every employee I came in contact with at that establishment was extremely warm, friendly and polite. My order included vegetarian Thai food – Thai style vegetable noodles, Red Thai curry with tofu and vegetables and sautéed cashew; all of which tasted amazing! Their Rasmalai was very creamy and hearty. I look forward to visiting again to try the Indian food options.

Service was great. The food was good and the servers were knowledgeable about the dishes giving some really good suggestions. The pricing isn’t bad and their are options some pasta and sandwich options for people that don’t want the Thai or Indian food. A really nice stop for lunch.

Best Indian and Thai food!! Authentic flavors with authentic Indian and Thai chefs. Food Is amazing, service also very good! A hidden jewel in Trinidad. A must! You have to go to dinner this place if you’re in Trinidad… Also very close to Piarco Airport, 8 mins in taxi.

Nice little getaway. They have both indoor/outdoor dining options. Options to choose from Thai/Indian Authentic food. They have a pretty wide variety with a lovely display of what you are getting in the menu booklet. That was a nice touch. Very affordable, and the service was exceptional. Mutter mushrooms was pretty good, but the paneer tiika masala had no taste. Portions were more than enough for 2 persons. Important to note that the restaurant caters for the hotel occupants as well.
