We celebrated my birthday at Vicia this year and it was such a special experience. It was our first time there and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, to our server, and to every staff member we were greeted with warmth and kindness. I couldn’t get over the special touch of a hand written birthday card from them waiting for me our table when we were seated. The crispy potato bites were absolutely incredible. We’ve told so many people about them. I had the truffle butter mushroom pasta and my boyfriend had the short rib entree. Both were so so so so good. Definitely save room for dessert too. We had the sticky toffee cake and ice cream and it was an actual dream. We haven’t had this good of a meal in a long time. From the service, the warm atmosphere, the little thoughtful touches, and the incredible food it definitely left us with wanting to return immediately. Thank you Vicia for making my birthday dinner one to remember ♥️

Came to Vicia as a late Valentine’s Day dinner after having it on the list of spots to visit since moving to St Louis. Not sure why we waited so long because…. Wow.

The Fare:
Ordered an Oak, and a Carrot cocktail. The Oak being their spin on an Old Fashioned at it’s probably one of the best ones I’ve had in recent memory.

Had the focaccia bread with chicken skin butter, and while the chicken skin flavor didn’t really come through, the honey and thyme did. Along with the bread that you could tell was definitely baked in house, great start.

I went with the braised short ribs (always a sucker for those when it’s on the menu). Did not expect the braised short ribs to NOT be the star of the dish (though it was still amazing). On top of the cuts of beef were little crispy onion bits that added this wonderful texture and depth of flavor. The acid of the beet reduction with it made for a seriously awesome bite. But the true game changer was the “moussed” potatoes. Might be one of the singularly most unique elements in a plate I’ve ever tasted. Light and fluffy but absolutely loaded with flavor; 100% something I will remember for the rest of my days.

We topped it off with a Blueberry sorbet that somehow fizzed and tickled the bottom of your tongue. No idea how you get ice cream to do that, but I didn’t hate it.

You’ll drop $150-175 with drinks and dessert, $100 if you’re just there for the main/appetizers, but for us, it was worth every penny.

Vicia was such an incredible masterclass of food, service and atmosphere. We stopped by before a show at the Fox Theatre and we were blown away! We opted for the 1st course of the “let us cook for you” tasting menu (a happy hour special) and also got the miso snapper and the farm chicken for our entrees. All were great bites, but the miso snapper and the cheddar rillette are must haves! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was moody & inviting. In our eyes, this is a top 3 restaurant in the STL area. 10/10, no notes!

Very modern aesthetic. Clean and bright. They grow all of their own veggies, and they have an extensive vegan selection, including a variety of vegan sorbets. Very knowledgeable staff, and business casual atmosphere. I absolutely loved my tea, and the presentation was gorgeous. Cocktails were exquisite – world class espresso martini. Minimal beer selection (a single pilsner and single IPA). They also explain the menu well in terms of portions and sizes. Gratuity is included.

Laidback, upscale farm to table dining experience. The red snapper was light and flavorful. Each bite of the tasting menu was unique and fresh. Our waiter Sam I Am was fantastic and charming. Sam and other staff answered any questions we had and explained the food thoroughly. The cocktails was balanced and creative as well.

If we lived in St Louis, we would be regulars here! It’s so good! We came to town for a concert and love farm to table restaurants so we got reservations here. When you walk in, you pass what initially looks like a slightly overgrown flowery landscaping. As you continue, you realize it’s food! Some peppers, some herbs, and more. Our main server (I can’t remember his name but he had a Harry Potter quote tattooed on his arm) said they grown their own food and what they don’t grow, they get from local farms.

The service from all staff was excellent. I love it when my table is wiped clean between courses, especially if the table gets a little crumby from the delish bread.

The “Let Us Feed You” was a tasting menu without calling it that. The description is a little misleading as it says “3 course, family style meal”. When I think family style, I envision a vat of food that each person has to scoop onto their plate (like Bucca de Peppo or Stroud’s) so I would never have chosen that if the server didn’t explain it better. The first and second course had multiple dishes. It was more of a tapa style tasting menu. Absolutely fabulous! I am floored that it was only $80 a person for that much food. We love to go to different tasting menu options in Kansas City and I can tell you, none of them are only $80. We were stuffed when we were done (which isn’t always the case w tasting menus) so it was WELL WORTH IT! The food was so good. I’m still thinking about the lovely carrot and pesto starter. The crackers w sweet peppers was also memorable. Everything we ate was superb. I also appreciated the variety of non-alcoholic drink options. My wife liked the interesting vegetable twists on her cocktails, like a smoked celery martini and a sweet pepper old fashioned. Be advised, go with a foodie if you want to try the tasting menu because to order it, it requires your whole table to choose that option.

Went here for dinner after an intimate wedding. There were about 12 of us and we were seated on the patio at a nice long table.
We had the fixed menu without the pairing.
It was AMAZING! Even the way they served the food with 4 or five servers coming out at the same time was impressive. And the main server Caity was knowledgeable and very nice
The farm to table food to delicious and light with some veggies coming from the garden just outside the venue. The whole evening was just perfect. I would definitely go again and highly recommend anyone to go and have this experience. 5* all the way!

This is probably my first restaurant that I spent $140 on myself and it was well worth it. Came here by myself, table for one, they took care of me right away, and tore up my three meals.

Parking is across the street at the cortex. Parking is validated.

One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in St. Louis so far. Everything was exceptional, from the warm yet professional service to the outstanding flavors and thoughtfully crafted drinks. We chose this place for our anniversary, and it exceeded every expectation. A definite must-visit restaurant in St. Louis.

Wonderful atmosphere with creative and delicious food. We were fortunate enough to sit by the kitchen and watch everything be created. Well run, super organized on a Saturday evening. Highly recommend . (We made reservations)
Only downside was table next to us was VERY loud. It made for a semi uncomfortable experience.
