This 1 star review is not for the direct staff of this Papa John’s. This 1 star review is for the area/district/regional managers that do not allocate enough money to their stores to allow for more staff on site. As a manager myself, I was APPALLED. I ordered a large pizza and garlic knots at about 12:45pm on 9/23/25, just to find out that this man has been ALONE at that store since they opened at 10am. Not only is that a SERIOUS safety liability that I’ll be reporting, it’s also pure corporate greed on the side of the manager. They get bonuses if they meet certain labor thresholds, and apparently that means letting this poor guy make pizzas by himself for 3 hours. I used to work at dominos and we HAD to have 2 people in the morning, due to our volume and the amount of prep to be done in the morning. And god FORBID there was an accident on site!!! I know your managers are watching these reviews like a hawk, and when you read this, I hope you know you should be ASHAMED of yourselves. That man was a saint and despite being alone, his demeanor was nothing other than friendly and professional.

Papa Johns gets 4 stars for consistent quality pizza. However, we ordered extra sauce and a cup of cheese sauce and as you can see from the picture very little sauce and no cheese cup! (We did pay for those extras)The time of arrival for pizza was estimated at 60 minutes and arrived in 45 minutes which was better then last week. Last week ordered a pizza was given estimated time at 60 minutes and at 90 minutes still no pizza. Called papa Johns and they said pizza was on its way. 15 more minutes no pizza so called and cancelled. So, I understand there are busy times that’s why we tried to order again this week and we’re pleased with the delivery and pizza! I highly suggest PapaJohns just check your box when you receive your order for accuracy of items ordered.

So we always order pizza from Papa John’s and we had to try the new pan pizza and well I have to say we all were very disappointed … It doesn’t even taste like pizza it tastes like bread full of Italian herbs and butter I hope something changes with this but for now I don’t think I will be ordering any pan pizzas from Papa John’s.

Food is great but the older gentleman that delivers is always rude. I have it set to leave at door for contactless delivery since our dogs go nuts. It never fails, this man POUNDS in the door, flings your receipt at you without giving you a second glance, hands you your food/drink in a rush and walks away before you can say, “Thank you”. I hate ordering from here anymore because of him. We didn’t get any of our sauces this either so there goes 6 bucks. I donno, I probably won’t be ordering from here again for awhile.

Seems like this particular Papa John’s is going down hill, Pizza seems half cooked and is nowhere near as good as it was in the past. Ordered several times from this location with the same results. Shelbyville Papa John’s still makes a good pizza.

Ordered food from here this evening while at work on my lunch. Went out to get my food and got the wrong pizza, delivery guy told us the pizza was right…. So I then asked to see the receipt to find out that Karen had my pizza and we were right it was the wrong pizza. Luckily i had my receipt for proof and I knew who this was so I had to walk all over the factory to find Karen to tell her she also had the wrong pizza luckily I could find her…. Then come to find out both of us had ordered extra garlic and didn’t receive it. So now I wasted a majority of my lunch walking around and I can’t even enjoy my extra garlic. Let’s just say I’m not pleased with my experience….

Worst company ever. Waited almost two hours for the food. Then when I tried to inquire when it was going to arrive no one would answer the phone. Then I tried online chat and got told my food had already been delivered when it wasn’t. So I started driving to the store just to find it completely packed. Couldn’t even talk to anyone about this. Will never EVER order from here again.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever had. I have been on hold for 30 minutes. I ordered my pizza at 11:38, one pizza, and it’s 1:01 not out of the oven and I’m still on hold.
