Bill’s Family Restaurant is located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Since 1963 this family owned operation has served breakfast and lunch as a staple in the local community. My experience at Bill’s restaurant every time I come there I get treated like I don’t belong there how is it your cooks or your service don’t wear gloves but they touch everything seen the cook come right out the bathroom and go right into the kitchen and start cooking with no gloves on as well as touch your food then u try to correct the young lady about some things she catches a attitude the older lady that works there I’m just saying that for certain people you want at your restaurant just say that this is not wearing gloves for me if you know you know

I had the two eggs, sourdough bread with jam and sausage. Kiddo had blueberry pancakes, and hub had the biscuits and gravy.

This is a great Diner. Breakfast and lunch. Traditional American breakfast… Great burger and fries for lunch. They have a faithful crowd….lots of repeat customers!

Got the eggs, potatoes and toast for 7.25. With a side of sausage gravy for an extra 2.00 as I like gravy on my home fries. The food was standard breakfast diner fare. The sausage gravy wasn’t the best I’ve had but wasn’t the worst either. Honestly the food was just okay. But I wish I had been told upon asking if they had Texas toast that it would be a 50 cent upcharge. As that is not indicated ANYWHERE on the menu even under the “on the side” toast price.
The service is very friendly and the staff greeted the regulars by name. Mine was just a little bit on the slower side. Overall a decent diner without the super inflated prices. It’s just not a new “regular” spot for me as I’m particular about my sausage gravy.
I do think I’ll come back to give the olive burger a try sometime because I’m a sucker for a decent olive burger.

I recently ate in this restaurant for the 2nd time. The food was good but I didn’t care for seeing one of the staff wearing a large cross upside down on the outside of his shirt. I was surprised the owners allow this offensive display. I’ll support other restaurants in the future that aren’t anti Christian.
