We spotted this gem on our way to the Foundry to see The Motet- within walking distance to the venue!
The ambience was great, spacious room with a full bar, thoughtful lighting and decor, clean bathrooms, and elegant seating made for an upscale look but casual feel.
Around 6pm on a Friday, the place was busy but not overwhelmed and the server was quick to clear a window seat for us.
They have a great drink menu, we ended up with a draft Stella Artois and a Vodka martini.
The server was kind enough to offer some suggestions after hearing our experience with Indian food, highly recommend doing this if you’re at a new restaurant!
We ended up getting the Methi chicken mild and the Korma chicken medium spice entrees and a side of the garlic naan.
Both entrees were delicious and filling with the rice and naan- but I do believe the Methi chicken won between the two.
We will definitely be back!

Excellent Indian food! Royal India Palace is a wonderful touch to a quaint downtown. The restaurant was fairly quiet at lunchtime and service was very fast. The dishes were extremely flavorful and they offered many flavors of naan. We purchased the garlic naan, aloo gobi, and chicken madras. The chicken madras was some of the best Indian food we’ve had! We were visiting from out of town but would absolutely return!

Our group arrived around 12:30 on a Thursday afternoon in January. There is street parking in front of the restaurant but there is also a parking lot behind the building. It wasn’t busy, and we were seated right away. The interior is large and spacious with high ceilings. They offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Our server was friendly and helpful with the menu options. There is a special lunch menu, but you can also order from the main menu. The specials include an entree, cucumber/tomato salad, rice and choice of an appetizer. It all comes out together on one large platter. Once we ordered, it took a while to get our food, but we had a large group. The portions are generous, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I had the Butter Chicken with medium spice, and it was the right heat for me. The small cucumber salad came with a light vinaigrette that was very good. For my appetizer, I ordered the samosa which I didn’t care for. It was a little greasy and mushy inside which just didn’t appeal to me. The naan was delicious! The menu items are a bit on the pricey side but that seems to be the way of the world these days. We would return!

My husband and I love Indian food and this place is pretty good. We ordered takeout while staying in an airbnb here in Waynesboro. The staff was friendly and our food came out very quickly. When you order your food, they ask you what spice level you want (mild, medium, hot, extra hot, Indian hot). I chose medium for my paneer tikka masala and my husband chose hot for his chicken vindaloo. The spice levels are definitely not normal for Indian food. Neither of our dishes had much spice. It would be great for anyone that doesn’t like heat, but if you do make sure to get the hottest option. The food was good, but not the best Indian food I’ve ever had. However, this is probably the best option around. The restaurant itself is very nice and would be perfect for a romantic dinner. We would probably return if we come back this way again!

I am very grateful that they are doing this location its proper justice, due to the fact that this used to be Heritage on Main. A local favorite.
We had the pleasure of having Matt be our waiter and he was very knowledgeable, kind and was very prompt with our service.
The food was exquisite and extremely tasty. I can tell that they put a lot of thought into the menu items because the assortment of appetizers and entrées were absolutely delicious.

Everything about dinner was great! The waiter was exceptional. We started with the drumsticks, which were my favorite part of the meal. I recommend getting the bread basket to go with your entrees. Drinks were tasty as well. I highly recommend
