Established in 2014, Taco Madre is a Latino family – owned business with humble beginnings. Born from a simple truth – when something hits just right, in Mexico we say, está con madre. That’s what we’re all about: tacos that go hard, flavors that slap, and energy you can taste. We are your go-to taqueria that offers authentic street tacos, traditional eats and our signature Madre Style tacos. Using the freshest ingredients and the love of making good food is what sets us apart. We are your local taco dealer.

I got a breakfast burrito with pico de gallo. It was seasoned very well. I really enjoyed it. They made it without cheese due to my dairy allergy, so it wasn’t a problem. I really want to come again and try more things. It sounds all yummy.

Clean facilities and friendly staff. Toppings were well portioned on the fries. Birria is delicious, would love some more spice in it but that’s what their salsas are for. Agua de jamaica is not too sweet which keeps it refreshing.

Our first time trying this place out, and it wasn’t bad at all. It was pretty good. The place was nice and big and very clean. The service was great too. W took our food to go and ate at home. My nachos unfortunately had some stale and hard chips. It hurt my mouth to chew. The flavor was good though. My husband liked his quesadillas with carnitas. My daughter had the kids quesadillas with carnitas too and they were the tiniest quesadillas that I’ve ever seen. In other places I’ve gotten bigger quesadillas in a kids menu. Overall it was nice.

Second time here, ordered three tacos: one shrimp, two Baja fish. Ample portions of protein on each taco and quality toppings. The corn tortillas were even done properly so the taco didn’t fall apart. Best fish taco I’ve had outside of Baja and Southern CA.
Bonus, super clean.

A Taste of the Future at Taco Madre!
I had my first encounter with a server-bot today at Taco Madre in Augusta Mall! It was a unique and fun experience. I ordered chips and a chicken taco (soft shell) with all the good stuff—lettuce, cilantro, tomato, cheese, and onion. The chips arrived right away, but when it was time for the taco, a robot server rolled up, introduced itself, and gave me retrieval instructions!
The food was delicious—the taco and chips were both fresh and flavorful. It’s amazing to think that the future isn’t something we’re waiting for anymore—it’s already here, and it’s serving up tasty meals! It a very wild and crazy time to be in. The workforce will suffer as these bots take over.
Yum!

This place is a GEM! Being a Hispanic person I can say the flavor / presentation of the food was unbeatable! I got the madre taco and pollo loco it was delicious! We also got chips with some queso, guacamole, chorizo queso and spicy salsa. Not pictured a tasty burrito. If you’re from Augusta or visiting THIS is the place to go for some incredible food, atmosphere, and great service. Can’t wait to go back !!

The whole fam gave it 10/10 all the way around (a rare occurrence) and we felt like it was better than several local and chain Mexican/Tex-mex places. Service of all the staff members was on point and they provided excellent recommendations. Portion sizes were excellent and the environment has a nice vibe. Definitely give it and recommend considering them for a quick tasty dinner or lunch when shopping at the mall.

The food at Taco Madre is good, but keep in mind that everything is priced separately. By the time you add chips, salsa, tacos, and a drink, you’re easily over $20. Each taco is on the smaller side and costs between $4–$6, so three tacos, chips, and a drink will run about $25. On the bright side, they do have a cool robot that delivers your food to the table, which is a fun touch.

Meh… Either you are a fast food chain or a restaurant. If you are a fast food chain, you don’t ask for tips when ordering. If you are a restaurant, chips and salsa are free. That’s part of being a Mexican restaurant. You can’t be both and succeed. Tough luck for the franchisee I guess.
The food was OK. The service could be better. Paying six dollars for chips and salsa is unacceptable. Charging a credit card fee is unacceptable.
My original rating was higher, but now that I think about it, it doesn’t deserve two stars.
No thanks, I won’t be back.
