To start the lady taking our order was rude, couldn’t even greet us and seemed inconvenienced by us. Also very awkward seating set up. I ordered chilaquiles with no meat and my husband got a cali burrito. Mine stated it came with scrambled eggs and they gave me runny over easy eggs. I can’t eat that as I am pregnant so I had to send it back. We both couldn’t finish our food because of how disappointed we were. There was absolutely no flavor in either dishes. It was truly the worst Mexican food I have ever tasted. And that is coming from someone who is Mexican and has had a lot of Mexican food. The burrito had zero taste and seasoning. The meat to the onions were bland. The chilaquiles red sauce was also bitter and lacked flavor especially salt. In the pictures you can see where we stopped eating.. Also even the salsas were completely watered down as you can see in the pictures. I tried all 3 and to no surprise no taste. I truly cannot recommend this place based on all these factors. Unfortunately we left still hungry and wasted money.
His palette is not as refined as mine. So I placed an order through uber eats. From the time I placed my order to the time I received the food, only twenty minutes had passed.
I ordered the taco plate. It came with 2 adobada tacos, and 2 cabeza tacos. Beans and rice. I also ordered three rolled tacos with shredded beef and guacamole. One crunchy shredded chicken taco. Chips and salsa. A carnitas burrito. And red and green salsa. Almost everything I ordered had cheese on it. None of it was authentic Mexican cheese. I also asked for utensils to eat with.
I received no utensils.
The chips are homemade and the salsa has a very mild to mid spiciness to it. But they added too much salt to the salsa. However, it’s also close to the end of the day. So maybe I got bottom of the barrel salsa. Still they’re pretty good.
The beans and rice were also very good. Both were homemade.
I had to pay seventy five cents extra to get pigo de gallo on my tacos. Without salsa, the adobada tacos were ok. With salsa verde they were much better. The cabeza tacos were succulent and delicious as is! The red salsa took these over the top for me. Magnifico! I would highly recommend them.
As for the crunchy, chicken taco. The chicken itself had no flavor. Everything else, from the deep fried homemade tortilla to the lettuce, and pico de gallo tasted perfect! I do wish I had ordered the shredded beef hard shell taco instead. This taco tastes better with red salsa, as opposed to green.
The three rolled shredded beef tacos, (taquitos) we’re delicious, ahogado en guacamole. I have a preference for red salsa. But they were equally delicious with the green salsa.
That filled me up. So I decided to save the carnitas burrito for tomorrow. But then something came up and I never got around to eating that burrito. So I cannot review this item.
I ordered my food through uber eats. So I cannot rate the atmosphere of the restaurant. However, the service was very fast. So I gave it 5 stars. And I used my Xbox remote to give you an idea of the size of food.
The machaca breakfast burrito is good. The sausage version is just ok. The bacon version is my current favorite. A huge win for me are their sauces. I’m a fan of the red. The green is for those that think ketchup is kind of spicy. It has zero heat. Another plus is that they’re open everyday at 6am…except Friday. I’m happy to have a place open that early.
There’s plenty of parking. -VanPort Insider✌
•Horchata drink was creamy and tasty.
•I order the chile relleno with a red chicken enchilada, beans and rice.
•Chicken on enchilada was good but dry, maybe adding a little more caldito to the chicken when serving it.
•Chile relleno had a good amount of cheese. •Beans were good, wish I would’ve gotten a little more and rice was fluffy.
•Lady behind the counter was very friendly, makes you feel welcome.
•Place was clean except under the salsa bar, they missed that spot lol.
•I would return to try something else.
Updating this to five stars instead of the initial four, I’ve now gotten the chance to stop by for food rather than order delivery. I’ve tried more of the menu, and I’m continued to be impressed by their outstanding customer service. Such a gem in clark county!
The restaurant (as of writing) is one of the cleanest and organized I’ve been to. I peaked behind the counter and the kitchen looked prepped and ready for the day.
Pro Tip: The Dutch Bros drive-through exits into this parking lot. So grab a coffee next door, then swing by here for a breakfast burrito!
