Been to many ‘Dim Sum’ restaurants and this one goes up there with one of the best tasting.
Me and my family aren’t used to eating Dim Sum in the evening and for that it was a pleasant surprise.
We usually go to San Gabriel for awesome Dim Sum. Tonight I suggested it to my wife and our daughter picked my suggestion right away.
We tried quite a good few things just from the Dim Sum menu. I posted all that we ordered in the photo section of my review.
Most and all Dim Sum was quite pleasant to the pallets and taste buds. I can say that we don’t have to travel as for as San Gabriel or even Monterey Park for the authentic flavors.
Their restaurant is quite modern in architecture and design. Outside patio looks very chill and comfortable (a tad bit cold for that and nobody was doing out there while we paid visit) open tables and booths close to one another, yet still comfortable and I enjoyed watching the patrons receiving their orders. Everything looks so amazing and delicious.
Clean, organized, and professional.
Staff could use some cheer and smiles which would add that 5 star touch I’m interested in.
I get it nobody has to smile while doing their jobs, however smiles and welcoming dialogue (sometimes staff can be humerous which is always a bonus) adds that touch for an excellent review.
We’ll be back to check out more items on the menu.

Checked out the Lunasia in Torrance, the branch of the famous Alhambra dim sum place, and it’s located inside a very busy shopping center. This location gets packed too, so be ready for a crowd.
Food wise, it is almost there but not quite on the level of the Alhambra original. The har gow is still good, nice texture and flavor, but the tofu skin wrap threw me off because it came out huge, almost like a dim sum burrito. It lost that nice crispy skin and the inside did not have the same delicate taste without the big shrimp. The soy sauce noodle was not bad at all, a pretty dependable dish.
Service was good, friendly and attentive. Prices here are a bit higher than the Alhambra location, which is surprising given the food quality difference.
It’s a decent dim sum place if you are in the area, but if you know the Alhambra Lunasia, you will notice the difference.

EDIT ADD December 2025: Therein lies the philosophy of balance, to celebrate Sabbath at a late lunch or early dinner in anticipation of the start of Hanouka Channukkah this Sunday whilst we dream of Christmas and the recovery of the New Provinces, Tai Po section of Hong Kong in their recovery after devastating fires even after floods. All over Asia and the Middle East to also devastating effect in particular. For sum cha, small plates Dim sum I am always usually happy but thinking of serious world events and local news made for a really muted effect. The food still shined. Fish, seaweed salad, chilli oil cucumbers, sticky rice with seafood, hot and sour soup with tofu and mushrooms, pork with wonton skin, jumbo shrimp and pork siomai. Good to try different things. Last time, we had deep fried eggplant which was so refreshing…Food binds us as a culture even in our suffering. There were children and dogs today (there is an out door patio for pets) to brighten the experience of eating well while people watching. Previously: Dim sum of four restaurants where the first is a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Take a trip! It’s worth it. Recommending the beef chow fun for the wok hei, that flavor from heat whilst not quite char. Pork and shrimp jumbo siomai can come with truffles or caviar.

they completely forgot our order.
we sat down to eat for two. two of the three orders came in.
when we asked for our last order, the waiter goes to the back and realized it was never placed even though it’s clearly in our receipt. all three employees did not apologize for completely missing it, which was the shocking part.
Food was okay.

I ordered delivery through DoorDash last night. I have to say, this is some of the best Asian cuisine I’ve had in LA, as a former NY’er with high standards for Chinese food. My delivery came piping hot and packaged in impressive boxes and bag! I ordered pot stickers, bbq pork, fish in hot sauce, seafood udon noodles, spinach shrimp dumplings, and jumbo shrimp Har Gow. The portions were generous, especially the fish. Enough to feed 4 people! We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely order from them again.

Food was excellent. It was a little confusing at 1st since they’ve done away with physical menus and use a QR code, but once they let us know we ordered the veggie vermicelli noodles, half order Peking duck, spinach shrimp dumplings, pork bao buns and crispy shrimp rolls. Along with hot tea and water. Very tasty, nice portions, we ordered pork buns to go and we had leftover duck and shrimp rolls.

One of the best dim sum places! Good price, generous portions, and fresh ingredients that are freshly made. Highly recommend any of their baked or deep fried things like the shrimp roll and Chinese donut. I think they have the freshest best tasting Chinese donut in comparison to elsewhere. Their jumbo shrimp and pork sui mai is so fresh it tastes like they just made it there and then for order. I’ve been a few times and never disappointed.

While in town visiting parents, did the dim sum brunch here. Ordering from the phone via a QR code is neat, there is something to be said about the nostalgia of having a cart of dishes to choose from circulating the restaurant.

Great presentations, fast service, and very clean. Only liked the pork siu mai and egg custard tart. I don’t think I would go back. Most of the items were too sweet and oily. Had the truffle shao mai, shrimp and spinach, crab fried bun, chicken shao mai, pork shao mai, cucumber salad, soy sauce chow mein, spare ribs, egg tart custard. I’ve had better dim sum else where. I liked the concept of ordering on your phone.

The food was nice – they offered quite a range of dim sum. The outdoor area was fine – lots of interesting decors. The staff stayed mostly in the indoor area though.
