So I’ve seen mixed reviews about Taco Del Mar. it’s not a franchise like Chipotle and the first store opened in Washington. They do have a few locations in nearby states but I still consider it a WA local taco place. Sure it’s not the best like stuff you’d get from Texas or SoCal but if you have a craving for Mexican and don’t want to go to a franchise like Chipotle, then this is your spot.
I think the mixed reviews are due to the varying items they offer. I used to go to Taco Del Mar a lot as a kid – even before Chipotle was a thing. I think they shine with their burritos, fish taco, rice and beans, and taco salad. Anything else I really don’t think it’s worth trying. While the burrito and fish taco are on the expensive side, the taco salad is a great deal. I door dashed a taco salad for $13 and the portion size was great. They even make their own taco shell. It was a little on the cold side and they forgot my side of white fish sauce (my favorite) but remembered to put my sour cream and salsa on the side. I definitely prefer taco Del Mar over chipotle. Give the taco salad a try (not the burrito bowls). I feel like those aren’t filling enough but for $13 total the taco salad is a great bang for your buck.
Also I hope this can be added but on door dash there’s no option to add the white fish sauce.

Standard chain experience is found here. The food is passable for basic Mexican fare, but I knew that when I came in for my steak taco salad, which they no longer serve…ugh. The service was great and I really appreciated it, sometimes that makes the difference between a fair experience and a poor one. Located on the 1st floor in the Northwest corner of the Bellevue Square mall, next to T-mobile and Nordstrom. FOLLOW ME for the best recommendations as I travel the world!

I don’t really tip but when I do I appreciate the people who go the extra mile for help the thing is if I’m tipping why is the manager telling me not to and his employees don’t deserve it I’ve never heard that before and it seems like the workers are working pretty hard but the manager does not want his employees to get tips and this is not the first time I’ve been there to give a tip and I’m not the only one friends of mine are saying the same thing I just feel like he’s one of those managers that takes all the tips and don’t give none to his employees

Two tacos $8 dollars. Till you go to pay. Then $10 dollars. I told them the menus says $8. He says fish tacos are $10 dollars. I asked where does it say that? He couldn’t answer. However, he did ask for 20% tip.,
Yes, I’d like you to refund me the $2. Let me know when you’ve done so.

We’ve been shopping at this mall for several years now, and honestly didn’t even know Taco Del Mar was in Bellevue Square. It would be nice to improve the marketing of the restaurant to attract more attention as it is located in a hidden corner.

The lady was very friendly and polite, but the food was awful it was cold and chewy. I was expecting good enchiladas and I all I got was a cold blah! It tasted like eating an on old and cold mold filled dinner. I would expect better.
