Atmosphere: gets a 5 – such a cool place, just off the highway but quiet with a lot of cool touches.
Beer: gets a 0 – they had one of their wheat’s on tap – which was completely flat, so we got a different beer – an IPA and it was also undrinkable. My husband watered the tree with it.
Cider: 4. I enjoyed it.
Service: 3 The lady had zero personality, but they did replace the first beer. The guy behind the bar didn’t wait on us, but he did seem very nice.
Food: no rating as we didn’t get any.
I really, really wanted to like this place, but I cannot give it more than three stars if the beer is undrinkable.

Gad Dam Brewing feels like a cozy cabin for weekends away with the family or a few friends. That laid-back, welcoming vibe. The brewery features a spacious deck, wooded backyard seating, a bonfire pit, and occasional live music—making it a great spot to relax with a cold beer on a nice evening. Inside, there’s fireplace seating and a warm, rustic atmosphere that works well for groups of 4–6.
The food menu leans toward casual favorites like pepperoni rolls and other handhelds, with rotating weekly specials. They also offer a surprisingly deep coffee menu, wine, and domestic beers for those not into craft. While there were only a few house beers on tap during our visit, Robbie Keyolsch stood out—a light and bright Kölsch with a mild honey sweetness. It’s an easy sipper that fit the setting perfectly. A comfortable stop for beer, food, and a little fresh air.

The only time I went here I had some pints of beer. The place had good, cozy vibes to it. Staff were friendly and they had various local craft beers on tap. I didn’t eat any food though, I might try some next time. I really like that the venue is sort of a cabin. It has that warm log home aesthetic on the inside.

Cool little brewery and coffee house near the wilds of West Va. Offers a mixture of beers made in house and regional breweries. Menu is limited but all made in house with personal care. There’s a welcoming outdoor area which would be great on a balmy evening. Very pleased to have stopped in.

After 7 hours on the road, stopping in here for a breather and a cool draft hit the spot. There’s a fenced in yard for the little ones to explore and burn off some pent up energy whilst we enjoyed the local craft works. I even added a new bird to my life-list while there!
And I declare these the Best Pretzels ever!

This place is a little gem! We went on a Saturday afternoon for beers and snacks. They offer a good selection of beers. We had the pepperoni rolls and cheese dip with tortilla chips. Both were really good. The staff were all so nice and a pleasure to deal with! Great space inside and outside to hang out. They allow dogs outside.

Stopped while on a road trip and just had to stop/ not only is the name catchy, but the patrons and staff are so kind and welcoming. The space itself is large and they also have outdoor seating with fire pits and outdoor activities. It was chilly and early on a Friday when coming through. Not only do they have beer, but they also have a great coffee bar. With just a couple minutes off of 19- it’s worth the stop and stretching your legs.

Really amazing building and the coffee was awesome! For now they just have guest taps, cant wait for them to brew their own! Still worth a trip.
July 2023 Update: they now have their own beers on tap (limited selection) and still plenty of guest taps.
Different events happen each evening. This place is a ton of fun, good for Summersville. Great service. I’ll be back every chance I get!

First time here, and we came for Bingo also. They offer different things on different nights. It is family friendly, which is great for those with kids. (I personally wouldn’t bring kids) They offer craft beers plus many other varieties. They have specialty coffees and deserts. It’s a cozy atmosphere, and the owner made us feel welcome. We will be going back again.
