As someone who has visited many Asian Countries, this is one of the only places in area that made me feel back there. This place is absolutely amazing.. I eat here once a week.. The food is always fresh and with great ingredients… the Boba drink is one of the best I’ve had and the Pho is unmatched by any in the area.. The summer roll is fresh, spring rolls are always crisp, and the orange chicken is amazing… Pork belly and garlic shrimp couldn’t even possibly be made better.. The portion sizes are incredible for the price…
The owners care about their customers as well.. If something is said to be spicy they will adjust to you palette… it can not be understated how welcoming they make you feel, and listen to request that if possible will be granted

Amazing food and very polite people. Food is top notch and large portions. Just come hungry as heck as you will have leftovers from that big portions. Real authentic Thai flavors, very well priced. I go here every week at least twice a week.

Great Drunken Noodles as usual. Green Curry, Chicken Fried Rice, and Pad Thai were decent. Accessible market and daily meal deals listed as well. I personally prefer their Large Pho as long as we get hot chili oil on the side. All in all, I highly recommend this place as Thai 99 (formerly known as Akron Oriental) is currently the best Thai restaurant in South Akron.

We got the Pad Thai, Drunken noodles, Pad se ew and Red curry. It was under 45$ and fed 4 and a toddler. Food was ready in 15mins during the dinner rush and was hot and packaged well for the trip home. The service was great over the phone and in person.
Mild is mild so if you’re heat sensitive you don’t have to worry. I’ve been “burned”before when a mild feels like a hot.
If you’re a Thai tea fan, they have free refills for 4$ but it’s not a super authentic flavor or tea. All in all would recommend and am adding it to the list

Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines and having spent almost a year of my life there I can confidently say this is the best Thai in Akron if you like:
1) Summer Rolls
2) Crispy Spring Rolls
3) Chicken Kra Praow
4) Pork Belly Kra Praow
5) Tom Yum Soup
6) Thai Iced Tea (Free Refill)
These are elite dishes at this restaurant/market. The fried rice was just alright. The Pad Thai is solid. I’ve taken clients here that have enjoyed it as well. I will drive down to try from CLE area!

Food was ok the red curry is not exactly the same as it was. Used to be slightly sweet and creamy and now is greasy/oily especially on top and missing that sweetness to help with the heat. Hope it’s just because they just switched ownership and not a permanent thing. Service wasn’t great never was asked if we wanted a refill and didn’t see anyone after receiving the food until I walked up to the grocery section to ask for boxes and then walked back to pay as well. On plus side menu has stayed the same and husband said the general tso chicken was good tho there may have been a misunderstanding on what he ordered but he expected rice with it tho none came. The egg rolls were also good. Thai iced tea is the same. Miss the old owners.

This was a bit of a present wrapped on the outside a bit plain no big signs that say “eat here” inside a nice surprise. Half market- half restaurant, service was outstanding food was very very good. Best Chinese and Thai food in the area by far clean food not all syrupy or yesterdays chicken.
We had papaya salad, sweet sour, pho medium size is enough for two plus people, pad thai was crazy good and egg rolls fresh fried couldn’t touch em so hot.
Family operation here don’t expect all your food to come out at once. Strongly recommend this place!!!
