Longtable Beer Cafe is a combination cafe, bottle shop and tasting room, located in Downtown Middleton which offers a communal experience in craft beer and food. One of the things we have loved most about the craft beer world in the fifteen years we owned Brasserie V in Madison and now over seven years at Longtable is the sharing aspect of this culture; craft beer brings people together with bottle shares and connecting over a pour. To bring this concept to life, Longtable offers a selection of 300 craft beers in a self-serve open cooler, along with 12 rotating taps.
Airy, wood-clad stop with communal tables offering sharable meat & cheese plates plus craft beers.

The owner of the Airbnb where we are staying for 2 nights recommended this place for drinks and dinner. We are so happy she did. This is a fun place with the largest variety of beers we have ever encountered and a good choice of food. Our waiter, Alex made the experience even more enjoyable. He was attentive and charming.

First time at Long Table. Jason was our server. Very attentive. Had a couple of good burgers and a trout sandwich after an appetizer of cheese curds. Also had beer cheese soup and seafood bisque.

Sigh. Another costly, mediocre outing @ Longtable. Thurs evening, not crowded, ample staff, yet we scored the surly, bearded waiter, not really interested in helping us navigate the food/bev menus but whatever. Beer/wine was great hence the 2 stars. Charcuterie board, well, thx for serving up your 3 dried out ends of each cheese, stale crackers, and a serving of honey that couldn’t be more out of place on that board. And having to serve myself water while wait staff stand around, some scrolling on phones, um, ok. I keep giving your place a shot, dropping a couple hund $/visit, mainly b/c ur one of the few estab in downtown Middleton willing to stay open in the evening, but gotta share this honest review that the long table experience continues to disappoint.

My friends and I came here for trivia one week day night it was a lot of fun! Our server was really nice and the chick peas and cheese curds were also really fantastic. The beer wall where you sort of pick your own is a fun and interesting concept.

This was a really fun place. Great service. Great beer. Great food. I got the open face brisket with beer cheese soup. Absolutely amazing! Right combo of onion, pepper, & carrot chunks.
I had one of the tapped beers (Golden Strong Ale) and tasted 3 others from friends. Tons of others there. A double wide fridge of various beers. Buy 4 get 30% off all 4!
Had a really great time with friends. When we come back to Wisconsin we’ll be there.

Solid food, good environment, decent service, nice beer selection, love the outdoor seating, decent music choices.
I had the mussels, which were good but not great. We tried the smoked trout sandwich as well, it was very good.
If you’re looking for a quiet meal, this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for a solid meal for a good price, I think you’ll be happy!

Stopped by for a couple beers as they are on the Pub Pass! Super friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the beers they serve. They were even kind enough to comp one of my beers due to the keg running out before my glass was full. Would recommend for the beer selection alone (can’t comment on the food as we only did drinks).

This is such a cool spot in Middleton. The bartenders are awesome — super friendly and welcoming. I love the setup here, especially in the summer when they open up the walls and it feels like you’re on a patio. It has that indoor/outdoor vibe that makes it really unique.
They also host Premier Trivia, which draws a fun crowd and makes for a great night out. I didn’t eat while I was here, but the atmosphere, the service, and the setup were enough to win me over. I’ll definitely be back.

AMAZING and then some! Longtable Beer Cafe is an incredible place in its own right, and it was also a spectacular place to host (and dazzle) our nearest and dearest. We had a delicious, fun, and cozy rehearsal lunch with our family and friends, and they all couldn’t stop raving about the food and beer. Matt, Andrea, and Justin (owners/manager) ROCKED! And are a huge reason why our event was so successful – they accommodated our party size (giving us the namesake long table as well as another table), helped us make food selections on time, and even gave us a complimentary bottle of an awesome sour beer to celebrate. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are grateful to their spectacular hospitality.

My first visit here was enjoyable. It’s a social gathering kind of restaurant. You can bring in a group of friends, a deck of cards, and just drink and eat till your heart’s content.
I had the brisket sandwich with greens on the side. It was absolutely delicious. The brisket practically melted in my mouth. My GF and I shared the cheese curds which were probably some of the best curds I’ve had in Madison.
They have a fantastic selection of beer. About seven on tap, and an entire wall with quite the variety. They also offer discounts on beers to go! (Unopened of course)
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a bite to eat; but not if you’re vegetarian. Or, if you’re looking for a place to hang with a large group.
