We had such a great experience at Isla Burger!
A little tip for parents — my son ordered his burger plain, but if you truly want it really plain, make sure to specify no seasoning as well.
All burgers come with chips (they’re more like fresh potato chips), and you can upgrade to fries for an extra fee. Also, just a heads up — the deep-fried pickles are the round, breaded pickle slices (not spears). It doesn’t specify that on the menu, so I just wanted to mention that for anyone who may prefer spears. I didn’t personally have them, but it’s good to know before ordering.
I ordered the BBQ burger and added cheese, and it was hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. Fair warning — they are messy but in the best way possible! My husband got the Isla Burger and said it was the best he’s ever had as well.
Service was phenomenal. The upstairs view is gorgeous, you can also sit at the bar, and there’s a small indoor section too. The bathroom was very clean.
It’s on the higher end cost-wise, but it is worth every single dollar. We will definitely be back!

We go to Isla Burger at least twice every time we visit Isla Mujeres- we love it that much! The burgers are just exceptional and the house made ketchup is something my husband has tried to replicate at home for years. We love the atmosphere of the rooftop seating and being able to see the street happenings below. We are made to feel like old friends by the staff every time we visit.

Best burger I’ve ever had! This is a must visit on the island. Everything is made in house and you can definitely tell from all the bold, harmonious flavors. I had the Fiesta Burger (add egg) with Parmesan Truffle Fries and a Passionfruit Mezcalrita, 10s across the board!

About halfway through our trip we just felt like a burger. We weren’t necessarily optimistic that we’d find something comparable to what we get at our favorite spots back home in Wisconsin, but man were we wrong! This place was fantastic. The quality, the presentation, the flavor, the service – this place had it all. Worth the trip to Isla Mujeres just for the burger! A real plus that you’re also supporting an amazing local owner and family. We couldn’t wait to try their brunch spot – Isla Bistro!

Stopped by to grab a burger but we left with so much more. Antonio was super helpful and friendly, he gave us so many good suggestions while we were waiting for the burger to come. Once the burger came, the talking stopped because it was so good. We couldn’t stop eating! Will definitely be back.

They really do things right at Isla Burger. Great quality meat, premium toppings like Oaxaca cheese and guacamole, homemade potato rolls, and tasty seasoned fries. The owner, Gustavo, was so nice and gave us lots of suggestions for other restaurants around the island.

We stopped in and had the barbecue burger and the fiesta burger, and both were absolutely delicious, and everyone in our group loved their food. The flavors were spot on and everything was cooked perfectly. The service was outstanding — friendly, welcoming, and attentive the whole time.
One of the coolest parts was that they gave us a bunch of great ideas and recommendations for things to do on our trip. I’d definitely recommend stopping here at the beginning of your trip so you can take advantage of all the suggestions they share.

Humberto served up us gringos some delicious fresh burgers, fries and chips. The burgers were so juicy and buns/condiments fresh. The hibiscus tea and spicy margaritas were top shelf.
