My son chose to eat here for his 6th birthday because he wanted the unicorn shake. And boy did they deliver! The food was fantastic, the service was great, and the desserts were the best part for my son.
He doesn’t like strawberry ice cream, so when he wasn’t drinking his milkshake, the employee asked what was wrong. He asked if he could make my son a chocolate shake instead, and quickly made one “on the house” for my son. And then asked if we wanted his birthday ice cream for the road and even said happy birthday to my son by name on the way out.
My little guy said it was the best birthday ever, and I truly believe it was because of the friendly service who went above and beyond.

This place is amazing, the burger was moist and juicy with great flavor and the chicken is crispy on the outside and tender inside. The tots and fries were always great. Highly recommend the staff was very friendly as well.

I went about 2 hours before closing. I had my order taken and served by Muhammad, he was the most polite and courteous person I have ever came across in the DMV area and to top it off, by far the most hard working person as well. He meticulously cleaned every square inch of literally everything in the restaurant. I watched him clean parts of the ice cream machine that I didn’t know existed, and never once did he stop moving. It was as good as watching a show on Broadway and I was able to thoroughly enjoy two burgers, fries and ice cream, all knowing this was the ABSOLUTE cleanest place I ever eaten in this entire region. And when it comes to food, it was fantastic. Great, absolutely great burgers. I recommend the Hefe.

I was really disappointed of how this meal come I build my own i was surprised of the price and I was really expecting at least a good amount of fries and a better quality. Plus napkins were not served with my takeout neither the silverware.

It was an odd experience dining at Big Buns. Going in cold, not knowing anything about the restaurant but encouraged by the name Big Buns, I thought I was about to have an extraordinary high-quality burger experience at a spot that boldly names itself after the bread that the meat is served on, expecting a substantial bun having the structure to hold up to all the ingredients in the sandwich, not falling apart or becoming soggy.
The Angus Beef burger I received was high-quality beef, thick, beautifully grilled, and flavorful. However, it was laughable that the burger was thicker than the bun it was served in. The name of the business, Big Buns, advertised a large bun, but in fact, it was tiny and soggy! I asked for a new, tiny bun and absorbed the burger grease with a couple of napkins. The use of shredded lettuce was another disappointment. High-quality burgers come with iceberg lettuce leaves. I expected an onion slice, not onion pieces, which came with it. The ketchup served in a small condiment container was low quality; it was watery and flavorless. The mustard was of reasonable quality and the fries were okay flavor-wise, but were served cold.
I was not familiar with Maine Root Beverages served at Big Buns and was delighted at how flavorful the product is. I taste tested several flavors, and all were terrific. I ended up mixing root beer and ginger brew 50/50 to enjoy with my big-flavor Angus Beef Burger on a tiny bun. Real life is your best entertainment value, and I enjoyed the entertaining experience at Big Buns.
